Description
This is just a simple reference for my character, Blue Harpy. She's a species of alien that I've created; I'll just call it Plant Harpy for now. Essentially, she's part bird, part plant, part something else. She has four large leaves that she absorbs sunlight with to photosynthesize, and also four smaller leaves that make up her tail. She has no eyes, but I like to think she is photosensitive and can move around by detecting light sources. Of course, she can't move well in the dark and also is sluggish in the dark, so she rests at night time. Blue Harpy is omnivorous, in a sense. Her "face panel" can lift up to reveal her mouth, which contains both a proboscis and sea-lamprey like teeth on the underside of her flaps, which she uses to latch onto prey. She uses the proboscis to suck nectar from other plants. Her legs and feet are those of a barn owl, which she uses to both hunt and defend herself. While she can't fly, she is incredibly lightweight and has great gliding and jumping abilities. There are many variations of her species, coming from a range of habitats on her planet. There are aquatic fowl with lilypad wings, winter fowl with pine needle feathers, sturdy desert cactus hybrids, and everywhere in between. At some point I'll make some more, but for now she's my favorite. Blue Harpy's habitat is more tropical or lagoon-like, and much of the foliage is cool-colored just like her, with bio-luminescent fungus spotting the terrain.

Someday I'll make a nicer picture lol this one's so bare-bones that it bothers me, but at least I made something for once. I also tried a different style than usual which is alright, but I can definitely refine it. (I was also too lazy to redraw the lineart for her legs to make them fluffier, but they're supposed to be covered in a soft down).
