I have to agree with chuong here.. ok, 3D skills are good, background is even better. But as a whole it just doesn't for me either.
I am seeing the 3D and the background as two completely different pieces, the 3D just doesn't 'talk' with the background at all.

Other than the color theme, which I like, this piece just doesn't do it for me. I'm thinking its the dis-cohesion of it all, and although it's meant to be a little weird, it irks me in some way. Its probably the clashing of the background with the foreground figures, or the indecisive theme of the figure(s) themselves, in their (although non-representory) lack-of-form presentation. Just my personal opinion on this work, isolated in my view. Trying to throw a little diversity in your feedback here, and honesty/constructive criticism in comments in general.
It does look well worked on, and touched up in tremendous detail though.
