I vote for the Bracelet.

Personally, I prefer the bracelet. It just seems more practical to me.

Magatama is way better.
(>^_^)> Anyone can use a Magatama...
...but only descendants ofΒ Magnifi Gramarye Β and himself can use the bracelet <(T_T<)
(>T_T)> But then the Magatama does need to be charged everyone once in a while...
...and the bracelet doesn't <(^-^<)
(>o3o)> You can be blind and still use the magatama.
...but blind people can't use it since you need both of your eyes to use the bracelet. <(T_T<)
Magatama wins :3

Well, the bracelet is based on tells, which are a thing people have in real life.
I could explain why if you want.

XD I totally agree! When I saw the Magatama in the 4th game, I freaked out (in a good way) and wished it never ended. I like the bracelet, but the Magatama was a lot more fun in my opinion. I liked it better when the background goes black and the "Psycho locks" come out of no where than just tapping the icon =_= which is what I wished they would do with the Magatama part in AA4. But I still like the Magatama better. ((Throughout this comment, I kept typing "Magatame" XD fail))

Both have good elements, but I still like the Magatama. But then, we should see more of Apollo in future sequels to give correct judgment.
Ah, the sweaty armpits! That was the hardest one!

I personally prefer the bracelet by far. The magatama was awesome at first, and I LOVED its comeback in GS4 (nostalgia!!) but I just really liked the whole trippy swirly creepy music-y bundle that came with the bracelet. That was ridiculously fun. xD And I actually think that the bracelet is more plot-relevant than the magatama. I mean, with the whole explanation on the heat-sensitive alloy and the muscle contractions, it actually makes a lot more sense than something that magically makes giant locks appear in front of you. Not to mention the fact that it ties Apollo to his mom.... But that's just my opinion. I do love this drawing, anyway! ^_^

I loved both, but hated the testimony with the sweaty armpits. It had me stumped for an hour >_>
Other than that, I think both are fine additions for each phase. It'd be really good if we got to play with both items in future games.
But the magatama is prettier

I'll admit I like the abilities of the Magatama better, but one thing I liked about the basis of the bracelet was looking for sudden changes in posture and facial expressions.
Not just when you using it, but narrowing it down to when you used it. You watched through the Testimony and then looked for the times when the sprite animation was different and then you looked in depth through that.
Even now as I play through Ace Attorney Investigations, when the character's animation changes, I look into what they're saying and think about why they're moving like that when they say that. But that's just me, like I said, I still enjoy the Magatama's lock breaking ability in terms of mini-game fun anyways.

Mmm... I could go either way on the Magatama vs. Bracelet debate. Both have their appealing gameplay mechanics.
The major problem I have with the Magatama is that it takes NO deduction to learn that someone's lying. It's just LOL I lied. CHAINS AND LOCK. The problem I had with it, was that because solving a lock recovers 50% of your HP, there's always at minimum 2 locks per investigation phase.... regardless of if the plot 'really' needs it. I'm not talking about joke locks like Wendy's, but more like Adrian's Final Lock in 2-4. Dumb questions for a dumb revelation I didn't care about.
Solving a lock however, is undeniably good fun. It added some much needed tension to the investigation phase, which was by far the most lacking thing in the series. And the music is cool to boot, particularly the GS4 remix.
Bracelet... it's a cool mechanic for the court phase. And, let's face it, Court hasn't advanced much since GS1. It's significantly less broken then the Magatama is at least in terms of initiation. Unlike the Magatama that goes LOL LIAR, the player has to find a suspicious statement and find the visual cue to compliment. The only draw back I see here is that the bracelet doesn't have as much evidence being thrown back and fourth as the Magatama does... but then again, we're in court! Throwing Evidence is what you do best in this phase.
In the Magatama's defense however, using the bloody thing in GS4 was the most epic use of it. Locks locks locks everywhere.
My end vote?
Magatama < Bracelet = Magatama GS4 ed.

The magatama doesn't show you weather the person is lying or not. It's shows weather the person is keeping secrets about the related topic you ask. You would would know that when you interrogated Matt Engarde from JFA for the first time. So you can't tell entirely that they're lying or not.

Man, totally. I am bracelet-impaired, apparently. It's always totally obvious what part of the testimony to look at, and then I'll be looking straight at where the "twitch" is and still not see it until I check a walkthrough.
I don't know. I guess I don't find neck movements suspicious.

AGREED.
I started to loathe the process of unlocking them, but it beats finding out a guy sweats excessively when he lies.

Love this! This is adorable and so true.
Honestly, the bracelet was alright but I actually preferred the magatama. It made me feel powerful to tell when people were lying by breaking the locks. Looking at sweaty armpits and twitching devil hands....not so much!

Honestly, I like the bracelet a tiny bit better than the magatama, mainly due to the last case of Apollo Justice, but some area's had me wishing that Apollo had both! (E.g. Turnabout Serenade with Laminor's eyesight and Daryan, Case 2 with Wocky, etc)
Heck, if Apollo had both he could combine both of them together, imagine that when your at a certain Psyche-lock with no evidence avalible in the game to unlock it, but instead you use the bracelet to percieve a habit to break the lock.
