This piece is simply awesome. The characters are not drawn with hard lines, but are drawn with power in each pose. The lines are not angular, but soft enough to evoke emotions and a personality to each character. I think that you've captured their essences without having to draw them in heroic poses. That's what they're supposed to be, super without having to demonstrate it.
Two thumbs up! --Jim

the Super-friends were composed of: Superman, Batman and Robin, Wonder-woman, Aquaman and the wonder twins and Glick the Monkey. When you added the GL, Flash and the Martian Manhunter, thats the Justice League of America.
The only ones missing are Blue Beetle and Booster Gold
God I miss that Justice league.

grew up with the superfriends, so i just used the title, really didn't want to use JL, wanted to instill what the superfriends stand for...friendship.

Heh. Well, I'm not really an expert either--I vaguely remembered seeing it somewhat when I was a kid, too, and I have no idea _which_ seasons I saw (I probably saw reruns from earlier ones mixed in with whatever season was current for me, too). I recently got curious and looked it up a bit, and that's how I know this--I just barely read it now. I didn't actually remember it from when I was a kid.
Incidentally, I do reccommend you look up "Challenge of the Superfriends"--if you can tolerate camp/forgive cheap '70s Hanna Barbera animation, it's...actually kinda _cool_. Almost a proper Justice League line-up, the Legion of Doom, darker, more actiony plots than usual, no annoying kids or cutesy animals, they managed to work in some hero and also _villian_ origin stories and there was even a scene where we see a character as _themselves_, in their normal lives, for a bit. Yes, on Superfriends. Really. And then there's the episode that starts off with the entire Earth looking all wrecked and post-apocalyptic...
Yeah. Worth checking out, if you have the time.

Um...that couldn't've been "Challenge", 'cos I just barely finished watching that so I have a clear memory. (Gorilla Grodd was one of the main villians in that and we do see the Ape-City at some point, so, there were apes around.) But there's a LOT of this show I haven't seen yet (including two seasons I haven't even been able to find--unfortunately, one of them seems to be a highly-regarded season), so I assume the one where Wonder Woman turns into an ape is in one of those episodes. Heh. What I _have_ seen so far is Challenge, the 1977-78 season, and some of the original season from 1973. The 1977-78 one is actually kinda good two; it's got the Wonder Twins in it but the plots are pretty proper comic-booky and I especially liked the one where we (briefly!) get to see Aquaman actually, ya know, _being_ the King of Atlantis/a smidge of Atlantis itself. Really. The whole episode was kinda cool, I thought...
Oh, and there was one where they were transformed into giant monster versions of themselves? Not really apes, but primitive-looking? You might be thinking of that. There's also one where Superman becomes a vampire. Yes, SUPERMAN becomes a VAMPIRE. Gah!
