WIP:Another picture of this character:
SO. Despite the fact that I often feel that I never improve and another depressing thoughts, its pretty obvious that I have. It's also obvious that I have a long way to go as well. I know what I need to improve on, even if I'm not sure how to go about improving those things.
Namely, I have no idea how to cell shade. At all. I feel like cel-shading would be my best bet when it comes to coloring things from now. I draw in such a stylized way that I think I need to step away from this paintly look (save for the hair, I really think that this would be look amazing if the rest of it were cel-shaded)
ANYWAY.
This is Were-Ah, my usernamesake, here being a pretty pretty little lost princess. This is one of the funny AU's that and I tend to do. This is one is set in medieval times! I should try and draw Dallas and Wayne next . . .

Thank you very much! I had asked a friend with long hair to model with a braid-- and I had stared for hours at pictures of braids on google search too, haha.
Unfortunately, it's been so long that I don't remember anything that I learned from all of that research. It's a bit of a shame.

BEAUTIFUL! I don't know anything about cell shading, but I think you did a wonderful job with her clothes...and her expression....and I am loving her left hand, if that doesn't sound too weird. And thank you for mentioning me!

I think you shading for the clothes is awesome!,because it gives the fabric the actual texture and illusion of movement very well.

I worried about the folds and the texture all throughout the coloring process. I was afraid that I'd gone overboard on it, but I'm glad that it got what I wanted across.

I think it turned out wonderfully, Were, the artwork is excellent! You are very correct to say you have definitely improved! 
I would be interested in seeing you cell-shade, it's always handy to know both styles, though I perfectly understand your feelings about not knowing where to begin. I had a hard time figuring that out myself for years... However, there's plenty of fantastic tutorials here on DA for just that, which proved to help me quite a bit once I finally found them; perhaps they can give you an idea of how to begin as well?
Either way, I like your shading as it is, as well. Do simply whatever makes you happiest! ^^

Thank you so much! 8D It's funny that you mention unicorns, since the kingdom where she lives now, she's the magical creature caretaker for the Queen.
I definitely find this method easier and I feel like I have more control, however, the finished product is not what I'm wanting. So I've been messing around with the cel-shading method. I'll probably go back and forth between the two from now on. <3 I'm glad that people seem to like this method though! I put so much time and energy into it.
Thanks for the tutorial tips, I've been browsing them for a while now. I've also been studying how some of the other notable artists (including your lovely self. 8D;;; ) pictures here on dA.
