Jessica always seems up-tight about something, whether it be personal problems like money or relationship issues, or work related. She always feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders, which makes small issues seem very big to her sometimes. She easilly stresses over anything. But that stress is a big motivator, and she is the most organized person you will ever meet. She is on top of things and is very punctual with a great memory. She's as sharp as a tack. Exactly what makes her so capable of owning and running her family's Rancho.

Jessica and her brother are actually the sole heirs to the Santana fortune (quick background: their grandmother, Doña Maria Santana currently holds the family estate, which hails from the first Spanish Conquest of California in the late 1700s. Don Miguel Santana founded his cattle ranch on the area now known as San Domingo county, and hosted for a short time the Mission San Domingo - shortly burned to the ground after),their grandmother wants her to inherit the estate when she dies. Even though Sergio is the elder of the siblings, he has no desire for such responsibility and oddly enough, it has been women who have held the estate for the past century.

She runs the Rancho like a well-oiled machine; she has others managing the large industries of the ranch with her supervision, leaving her with the freedom to focus on the real treasure of the rancho: the Hacienda Barbs . She religiously breeds and trains the property's prized breed, and when her hands aren't full with the horses her head is buried in paperwork and the inner-workings of the rancho. Therefore, she doesn't have time for much else. Given the opportunity though, she is a fan of red wines.

When she was younger, she was very active in escaramuza, and her riding skills are heavily in favor of western and mexican rodeo sports. She is a skilled horsewoman in most all disciplines, however.
