overly mechanicalism for the purpose of a dwelling for those without limits of money just to create for the fun of it where automation has simplified the process of imagination for the relentless consistency of capturing thought and being able to put it on paper. Hats off to the genius who created this simply awesome spectacle.

I don't really use reference for the buildings. I normally just create expressive shapes and work from there, unless I have to make an environment while working under some guidelines.

Thanks very much! I basically answered the same question a couple of comments down, so feel free to look at it there lol. As for if it is from a story or movie, it is actually from a story that I am writing, the title of which is still up for debate...haha. Oh and hell yeah to naruto avatars. I used to watch it every day, sadly not so much anymore...but still!

I used to watch it, but I got much farther in the manga than I did in the anime since I read the manga online when I couldn't read it at Borders Bookstore anymore, and I didn't know I could watch the anime online at the time. Then there's the fact that there really are a LOT of fillers that just get confusing when you don't know what order they come in, you can't find the english versions, and the animation quality has gone down since the first season. XD I still keep up with the manga though, and I must say, my suspicions about Tobi/Madara's real identity were CORRECT!! Certainly, some of my reasons were incorrect, as he had not already known about his ghost-like abilities and thus he didn't use them to escape and get revenge, but all of my reasons still made sense, and in the end, I WAS RIGHT!!

i am sorry to ask this, because this question has probably already been asked and i am just too lazy to read through the other comments, did you come up with the idea for this yourself, and if so what is your inspiration?

lol that's okay, no worries.
I did come up with the idea for this myself, but a lot of people say that it reminds them of Blade Runner, which I can kinda see where they are coming from, since the sic-fi genre is very repetitive a lot of the time, which is why artists have to constantly push to produce more unique and crazy ideas for new works (even I have to keep pushing myself to think outside the box!). The inspiration for this didn't really come from one place or thing. I would say it is mostly a combination of things that I have come to know and admire throughout my years that usually manifests itself into a concept design, such as the one you see here
