Personality: Yusra is a thinker, and rarely rushes into action before thinking it through. She may come off as a cold person, keeping her distance at first, and being very blunt and honest about the things she says. As for the Creed, Yusra does what is asked of her, gets the job done and asks no questions about it. She trusts and respects her superiors because it’s expected of her, but other than that, her trust is a hard thing to gain.

Even though being a bit on the aloof side, Yusra does have a softer side to her. Once you get to know her better, she becomes comfortable enough to be her cranky true self. She cares for her loved ones deeply, but is the type of person who shows it in small gestures rather than says it in words.

Biography: Yusra was born in the heart of the Holy Land. Her parents were shopkeepers, and she had two older brothers. She was the payback to an old debt of her parents, and only ten when an old merchant traveller named Hakim took her. The two of them left Jerusalem and travelled the whole of Levant to the eastern borders and back to Masyaf in Syria, selling and buying spices and fabrics. What Yusra didn’t know though, was that Hakim was a Templar messenger, travelling from one place to another gathering information about the assassins. His status as a merchant was merely a disguise to lead his enemies astray.

In 1507 Hakim and Yusra left Masyaf and travelled to Constantinople. They had developed a father-daughter kind of relationship throughout the years they had spent together, a little family of sorts. They decided to stay in Constantinople for the time being, and the next couple of years were relatively easygoing and happy for them.

Yusra’s life took a turn to the opposite direction when she found Hakim lying lifelessly on his bedroom floor, all bloody, clutching a piece of paper in his hands. The handwriting on the paper was messy and written in haste, and Hakim had only managed to write a single word on it: assassin. Yusra understood this as finding the assassins for help, when in reality it was an assassin who killed her father in the first place. A simple misunderstanding led her to the assassins, and she joined the brotherhood in hopes of finding answers to her questions, and later on to avenge Hakim’s death.
