Description
So, after seeing *Veriun 's absolutely FANTASTIC renderings of her characters, I really wanted to try Kenya. I'm happy with the colouring, but I'm really not sure about the hair. I might still fiddle with that, as it's bugging me a little.Kenya's body is obviously Nala, while the hair is Pumbaa's tail and the eyes are from Mufasa.

Ahhh, that looks SO GOOD! ^^ Great job, Doodlee! I actually rather like the hair; if you're really unhappy w/ it, maybe make it shorter? After all, female lions don't have long hair, so that might help. Either way, you did an excellent job with this; the shading looks wonderful.

Thank you very much! I didn't do too much except filter the crap out of it, but it was a blast. I might shorten the hair if it continues to bug me.

Basically, find a bunch of high-quality renders (I use the site ~Doodlee-a linked to), then just cut out the pieces you need and glue them together. Sometimes the renders match exactly what you want (like if you want Kairi's dress or Donald's hat), but more often that not you might want to play around with hue/saturation and maybe even paint on your own additions.

I was actually inspired by *Veriun 's pieces and tried my own. So far, there isn't a tutorial, but there is a site with a bunch of Kingdom Hearts characters that you can use to put together your own character.

I think that hair looks so awkward because it's so different in style from the rest of the picture. Try looking at how the original lion king draws hair and try to incorporate it a bit. :3

Out of all the lionesses I've seen from lion king she has the most hair on her head.

Well... I did draw a lot of it from the same images. I'm not trying exactly for the lion king style, as I'm aiming for the kingdom hearts style. But you have a really good point.
