I once misinterpreted a photo of yours, and you replied something along the lines of 'this isn't supposed to mean anything significant, I'm just putting this up because it's pretty'. Okay, so that's a probably horribly wrong recollection, but the point is that there obviously seems to be some meaning in this photo for you...
Only silly bloke that I am, I don't really understand the message you're trying to say. (Or maybe it's that way with all art - especially the abstract sort that I'm not too fond of - open to interpretation.) Would you be willing to share what you mean, or would that spoil the 'secret'? I'm just curious, is all.
Either way, nice to see more from you, and I'm glad that you seem to be so joyful now, especially after the past few months.

Thanks for leaving a comment Soli! I think I misinterpreted what you said in your last comment but I think everything gets lost in translation online.
Everyone has different perceptions and interpretations of my photography. I never judge what people percieve - everyone has their own beautiful, unique ways of looking at it. My own 'style' is soft, romantic, vintage, surreal, calm, peaceful, and has strong conceptual elements in most of my photos. Old keys, and in this photo- a very very old classic English history book (Buckingham Palace), suggests the theme of how time passes, but beauty will always be appreciated in the simplest of ways. A photograph can tell a story of whatever you like it to be.
I haven't had the time lately to really dive back into my passion of photography as much as I'd like to- but I've found a new motivation, inspiration, and drive to continue with the unique romanticism style of my photography - a wonderful man I happened to meet a couple of months ago. He has a truly incredible and positive spirit and zest for life that brings back these same qualities I have. I'm the happy soul I used to be, all due to his wonderful presence in my life.
I hope that clears up the curious questions you had~! How have you been doing? Hope I didn't sound like a grump bum in my last comment, I can never really understand people through comments

Oh dear, I seem to have confused you by removing references to my real name with the new dA ID thingy. (Hint: that's not my name, that's Latin. )
Yeah, I've also learned the hard way that on-line communication is fraught with misunderstandings and confusion. It's all right, as long as there's nothing acrimonious involved and everything is sorted out with patience and grace. (:
Thank you for explaining your intention for this photo, even if it can be seen in other ways. It makes much more sense to me now. I could argue differently for people, at least on the exterior (I'm not being shallow, if you really want to know what I mean, just ask), but certainly there are many things in life that hold a real sense of beauty for a long, long time. 'Some things just get better with age', it is said.
Thank you, also, for taking the time to write - I know how busy we all are, but it's often discouraging to have well-thought out comments go by without knowing if the artist has read it or not.
I'd like to think that you are and have always been a happy, cheery and wonderful woman in and of yourself, but that finding someone special can bring you yet even more joy. In the long run, I think this is a healthier way of thinking for both of you (at least, I try to remind myself the same thing). You are clearly blessed in this regard, be thankful for it. (:
Yes, you answered my questions, thank you. (: Myself, I continue to struggle with the same old things, but I take solace in the hope of the eternal, at least. It always cheers me to have people like you write, though. And I did get the chance to go to Brisbane and had a lovely time there - not so much because of the city itself, though it is a nice place, but because I was so well looked after by my cousins.
And no, you didn't sound like a 'grump bum', but I was taken a little aback, so I've been careful with what I say when writing about your deviations now. Don't worry, it's all right. Though I fail miserably most of the time, I do try to treat everyone with the same graciousness that's been accorded to me.
Until next time, however soon or far off that might be.

... I like your choice of subject matter and props in your vignettes-- most all are very iconic suggestive of time and how it passes...
