Brief Description - A hairless tom with mottled patchwork markings and a noticeable white streak running up his muzzle alongside a darker patch. He has lichen-green eyes with a slight array of brighter/yellower flecks. He now bears a scar across his head from being thrown into a rock in the old lands by a fox that gave him the scars across his neck and shoulder that mirror those of his angel Pallidwane.
Body Structure - On the smaller side for males his age, Mothpaw has large ears and a long, skinny rat tail that often betrays his emotions. His body is fairly proportionate regarding the individual parts to the whole, but his build is more petite and takes blows badly.

Personality Desc. - Mothpaw is a complicated young tom. He naturally avoids others, yet is trying to force himself to make 'allies' in order to be a valuable Clan member. He would much rather observe and figure things out on his own than be thrust in without any sort of knowledge of the situation at hand, but is still a quick thinker on his feet. Easily ruffled by social interactions, he tries to mask it all with a calm exterior and analytical approach to life, however, beneath this shallow shell of ice is an emotional, flustered child. He is extremely expressive when he lets his guard down, but it takes a long time for him to really open up to others. Easily harmed in battle, he feels even more of a desire to prove himself to himself and his clan, regardless of his emotional and mental issues with others and his physical attributes that are both a blessing and a curse. Once he attaches to someone, he's completely devoted to them, like a lionheart to a king, and if they're very close, perhaps they could even coax a laugh from this solemn grouch.

Due to many events, Mothpaw's shell has started to shift and melt. It would appear he is trying to reach out and get to know others better. However, this progress is slow, and he usually reverts back to his introverted reclusive self whenever the going gets rough. He has started improving this...especially in Thunder-roar's absence. Not FOR the missing tom, but perhaps he is finally learning that things are not...permanent. Taking himself out training alone without a mentor, picking up the slack in an inactive Clan, he has worked himself to a bundle of lean muscle and taut skin, although petite he is powerful. Slowly, he has progressed from mere calculations and observances to actually trying to...understand. Rather than analyze he has begun working through specifics, and how to remedy issues. Whether that is gently chiding cats for crossing the borders without snarling, but remaining firm, to reaching out to his own Clanmates (such as Pipitwing and Littlepaw) when they are broken emotionally. It is a huge slow step for him, and he still questions why he is doing it but he's trying very hard...

Mothwhisper has come a long way, and yet it's sometimes hard to see it. He has started opening up more, bringing up past hurts, talking about things he would normally hide away. But only to those closest, most trusted. He does not advertise these developments, and often it can be hard for him to speak of personal things around others, preferring to get his trusted ones alone before breaking. He remains a loyal Clan members, and puts his duties above most everything...aside from those who have weaseled their way into his heart. For them, he would cast aside duty as he never would before. And thus, his priorities have begun to shift, and he has begun to realize that he really...doesn't know much about himself at all. A shell of a cat filled with duty is nothing when they cannot puzzle out their own emotions, after all...

Lightfang (Mossclan) - he never loved him like Littlefang loved Moth, but he tried to be good and in a relationship for him, when it didn't work some harsh words were said and Littlefang ended up injured from other situations, leaving Moth to take him to the city where he found a good home

Early Weeks
Mothpaw was originally known only as Moth, born to two loners/rogues that took shelter with the Clan when they realized that they were expecting kits. His mother, Dapple, birthed him and cared for him dotingly the first few weeks, until his father went missing. Then she tore herself away from her son to try and find the tom she had devoted her life to. When neither returned, the Clan presumed them deceased and changed Moth's name to the traditional Clan Name of Mothkit. He became an official Clan Member and honestly can't recall his parents that well anyways, so he considers the entire Clan to be the ones who raised him at the time. Owlstar took him in as one of her own and raised him.

Kithood
Mothkit had a fairly uneventful kithood, he was content to remain in the nursery and not reach out to other kits his age, or even other cats in general. Rather, he preferred to watch the events in the camp and learn everything he could, remaining silent and withdrawn by choice, not due to a shy nature. Critical and analytical, his goal was to grow himself through observation of others, not to extend himself and attempt to make friends. With little knowledge of how to interact socially, he became a bit awkward, only realizing how important social bonds were after watching warriors and apprentices interacting with each other. It occurred to the little hairless tom that alliances could surely be beneficial, so he attempted to begin reaching out, which usually ended up with him getting completely flustered and slinking back to the corners of the nursery to avoid the embarrassment he was sure he had inflicted upon himself.

Through diligent observation and isolated meditation, Mothkit grew to be able to interact with others in a more calm manner, although certain aspects such as physical interaction were still a subject that caused him to turn twenty shades of pink and skitter out of there faster than you can say 'mouse dung'. His efforts did not go unnoticed and he eventually reached a maturity level and an age that allowed for him to become an apprentice...

Apprenticeship
When Mothkit was brought forward to become an apprentice, he decided that he would do all he could to be a valuable member of the Clan and overcome all the weaknesses he perceived in himself, both physical and mental/emotional issues. Owlstar assigned him to herself and now he starts a new journey at becoming the best apprentice he can be.

-went out with Thunder-roar, Newtpaw, and Littlepaw
-had a lesson in hunting and worked tactics with Newtpaw well
-went to the DuskClan border but was left behind there, met Batpaw, noticed Ant-tail
-returned to DuskClan border with Newtpaw and met Batpaw and Robinpaw // got in trouble with the deputy Lilyfeather // tried to take the blame away from Newtpaw // Lilyfeather escorted them back to camp and Owlstar punished them
-became Owlstar's apprentice
-met Stormchaser at the ArchClan border with Owlstar
-continued to meet Stormchaser
-got to know Pallidpaw
-went to DuskClan border with Pallidpaw and Goldenbee for herbs
-fought with Pallidpaw at some point but they made up
-began to warm up to Pallidpaw and Stormchaser
-met Snowpaw at border, had a spat
-the fox attacked, wounded Pallidpaw and killed Owlstar (taking her first life) which Mothpaw witnessed even when he tried to save Pallidpaw // he was horribly distressed by it all, Owlstar killed the fox // Moth went to bury the body and was found by Thunder-roar
-attended Gathering (November) and was upset/worried about the events of it
-helped out around camp
-wasn't eating and went out, fell into river along ArchClan border, rescued by Wolfstar (he'd met him at a Gathering) and Stormchaser (who dove in after him) // went to their camp to recover // returned to camp
-grew ill
-confined to camp, defended Magpiepaw and earned an argument with Fallencloud and Sycamorefrost
-was scolded by Goldenbee for being disrespectful, held back during the battle
-met Quietclaw a few times during this period (I don't remember exactly)
-was kept back during the battle // helped with medicine cat duties // grew very close to Pallidpaw, referred to her as a friend
-tended to Fallencloud's wounds with Quietclaw's help
-yelled at Owlstar for fighting, had a serious discussion about his approach to his 'debt' and kind of brushed her off
-got to know Magpiepaw better, promised to never pity him and opened up a bit to him
-has grown closer to Pallidpaw and Newtpaw, even a little to Littlepaw
-Goldenbee announced Thunder-roar's 'death' and that there would be a new deputy...he ran away and was pursued by Newtpaw // opened up to them and cried and cried and cried
-congratulated Pallidwane on becoming the full Mossclan medicine cat, with Hazelstar as leader and Pipitwing as deputy since Owlstar chose to step down to Owlstrike due to an injury from the battle with the shadows
-Owlstrike chose to take Littlepaw on as an apprentice, Moth was given to Pipitwing to be trained
-went to the Gathering (January) but didn't socialize much, just guarded Pallidwane and spoke to Stormchaser
-he and Pipitwing had a very rough start, but after helping her through a bit of emotional issue at the border...he's perhaps willing to give this a try
-went on a border patrol to the ArchClan border and noticed Swiftstream and Snowlily cross the border, handled it on his own despite his age/rank difference // Owlstrike had followed him and he spoke to her, surprised to see her but not particularly thrilled, despite that he seems to not be attempting to harm her or lash out over all that has happened

Mothwhisper grew through many events not detailed here due to lack of upkeep, for which I apologize. He was chosen as a Scout eventually, and after Owlstrike and Thunder-roar died went on a journey with Littlefang that had him growing closer to the other tom. Stood up for his Clan, met his father, had issues. Was captured in the forest by Slasher's gang with Cascade and met Amber, helped her to which she now says she owes him a debt. Had an odd connection with Slasher in regards to their reactions to the emotional upheaval around them. Returned to the Clans upon finding the new lands and guided them there. Met his father again, worked to resolve things, Sentry was hit by a car and saved by twolegs, and Mothwhisper thought perhaps he should stay with him, before following the Clans once more.

Warriorhood
He has been apart from Littlefang for a while, and learning on his own about what he wants to find out about himself, mostly how to control his emotions and sort them out rather than putting them aside. In the new lands, he helped find Mossclan's camp, and has been working at gathering prey and nesting materials. He was the one to take the sad Quietclaw to the Moss-Dusk border to see Skipperclaw, although he didn't stick around long and left them there to catch up. He stayed with Pallidwane as they rested with Goldenbee, letting her pass peacefully in her sleep into the stars. Emotional after her passing, he seems to have reverted back to his more silent, distant self, a dream-like wraith existing as a shade on this plane of life. Walking with Pipitwing to gather flowers for Goldenbee's grave, he has surprisingly opened up about his emotions regarding Thunder-roar.

-Had a brief thing with Littlefang but then said that Little deserved someone who could truly love him and Moth wasn't that someone, but he did care for him and want to be friends
-Has been working nonstop to help the Clans settle in the new lands
-Supported Pallidwane and Dawnflower's relationship
-Has bonded with Talon, seems to approve of him being with Pipitstar
-refused to take an apprentice and has avoided a lot of his Clanmates
-Found out Littlefang was hurt from a badger and brought him home, has made sure he will be tended to
-Is determined to protect his Clan against any enemies, especially those who he actually has opened his heart to
-Took Littlefang to the city when it became clear it was the only way to save him
-survived rogue war, partook in protecting nursery
-uncle to Golden and Sunny, Pallid/Dawn kits, actually shown to open up to them and be protective and loving even of Moon
-Pipitstar leaving with Talon for the Forest cut him deeply but he has kept his devotion to the Clan and vowed to serve Wrenstar and Quietclaw, both of whom he approves of
-Leads patrols and organizes hunting parties as best he can under the terrifying reign of the Black Feathers

Currently he is out with Burrbounce and has delivered Cedarfang's deceased form to ArchClan. He is shown to be more talkative and open, trying to negotiate peace and things with words alone. His temper, while still sharp, seems to have dulled a bit, perhaps due more to Palldiwane and her family than most realize.

Parents - Dapple (Mother/Sphynx/Loner/NPC/Dead) x Sentry (Father/Donskoy/Sphynx/Loner/NPC/Alive and a Kittypet): Dapple and Sentry were kittypets at one point in their younger years, who ended up loners cast away, not sure how to exactly fend for themselves. When Dapple found out she was pregnant, they sought out shelter with the Clans, and stayed there until she birthed a lone kit. However, when Sentry went out one day and never came back, Dapple grew restless, choosing to leave her kit in the care of the Clan to go seek her lifelong mate. When neither returned for weeks, the Clan decided they must be deceased and chose to raise the kit according to Clan Rules. Thus, the little bald cat became Mothkit.

He grew up disliking kits, he has since a young age, but something about seeing his sister/platonic-life-partner Pallidwane have them changed something in his heart. They are the first kits he's really gotten close to, and he loves them dearly. Although he tries to take a backseat in their lives, thinking they deserve better than a socially incompetent tom like himself, he is still there as a watchful guardian over them.

/ / | Egretbelly : One of the few cats to have spoken with Mothwhisper lately. He's a good cat, solid and intelligent, who has served the Clan well and thus has Mothwhisper's immense respect. The fact that he does not treat Moth as lesser and that they were able to discuss everything from memories to hunting techniques to politics and the power of words has Mothwhisper feeling as though perhaps this elder is someone important not just to the Clan but to him. He's trying to let his guard down around the tom, which is in itself a miracle.

Tumbleflame could feel her comforting scent wash over him, musing back on how it had become such a sanctuary for him. When she was just a kit he had become enamored with her instantly, wanting to do all he could to keep her smiling, her charms and wit winning him to her side in arguments against her brothers. She had always been one of the ones asking after being his apprentice, and in those moments he was ready to hand it over to her, had it been up to him. But he contented himself with being the apprentice, the cool 'older brother' figure, the friend who would let her pounce on him and practice her fighting moves every chance he could. Perhaps it was just because she was one of Mintstreak's kits, one that Dreampaw had helped bring into the world...but he had felt so close to that litter...and now...well, scarce few were left. It weighed his heart down until he felt her gently rub her cheek against his, drawing him back to the happier thoughts. She always seemed able to do that, to carry him through his darknesses, lighting the way back to the present, to the future even.

Lightfang (Mossclan) - he never loved him like Littlefang loved Moth, but he tried to be good and in a relationship for him, when it didn't work some harsh words were said and Littlefang ended up injured from other situations, leaving Moth to take him to the city where he found a good home

Early Weeks
Mothpaw was originally known only as Moth, born to two loners/rogues that took shelter with the Clan when they realized that they were expecting kits. His mother, Dapple, birthed him and cared for him dotingly the first few weeks, until his father went missing. Then she tore herself away from her son to try and find the tom she had devoted her life to. When neither returned, the Clan presumed them deceased and changed Moth's name to the traditional Clan Name of Mothkit. He became an official Clan Member and honestly can't recall his parents that well anyways, so he considers the entire Clan to be the ones who raised him at the time. Owlstar took him in as one of her own and raised him.

Kithood
Mothkit had a fairly uneventful kithood, he was content to remain in the nursery and not reach out to other kits his age, or even other cats in general. Rather, he preferred to watch the events in the camp and learn everything he could, remaining silent and withdrawn by choice, not due to a shy nature. Critical and analytical, his goal was to grow himself through observation of others, not to extend himself and attempt to make friends. With little knowledge of how to interact socially, he became a bit awkward, only realizing how important social bonds were after watching warriors and apprentices interacting with each other. It occurred to the little hairless tom that alliances could surely be beneficial, so he attempted to begin reaching out, which usually ended up with him getting completely flustered and slinking back to the corners of the nursery to avoid the embarrassment he was sure he had inflicted upon himself.

Through diligent observation and isolated meditation, Mothkit grew to be able to interact with others in a more calm manner, although certain aspects such as physical interaction were still a subject that caused him to turn twenty shades of pink and skitter out of there faster than you can say 'mouse dung'. His efforts did not go unnoticed and he eventually reached a maturity level and an age that allowed for him to become an apprentice...

Apprenticeship
When Mothkit was brought forward to become an apprentice, he decided that he would do all he could to be a valuable member of the Clan and overcome all the weaknesses he perceived in himself, both physical and mental/emotional issues. Owlstar assigned him to herself and now he starts a new journey at becoming the best apprentice he can be.

-went out with Thunder-roar, Newtpaw, and Littlepaw
-had a lesson in hunting and worked tactics with Newtpaw well
-went to the DuskClan border but was left behind there, met Batpaw, noticed Ant-tail
-returned to DuskClan border with Newtpaw and met Batpaw and Robinpaw // got in trouble with the deputy Lilyfeather // tried to take the blame away from Newtpaw // Lilyfeather escorted them back to camp and Owlstar punished them
-became Owlstar's apprentice
-met Stormchaser at the ArchClan border with Owlstar
-continued to meet Stormchaser
-got to know Pallidpaw
-went to DuskClan border with Pallidpaw and Goldenbee for herbs
-fought with Pallidpaw at some point but they made up
-began to warm up to Pallidpaw and Stormchaser
-met Snowpaw at border, had a spat
-the fox attacked, wounded Pallidpaw and killed Owlstar (taking her first life) which Mothpaw witnessed even when he tried to save Pallidpaw // he was horribly distressed by it all, Owlstar killed the fox // Moth went to bury the body and was found by Thunder-roar
-attended Gathering (November) and was upset/worried about the events of it
-helped out around camp
-wasn't eating and went out, fell into river along ArchClan border, rescued by Wolfstar (he'd met him at a Gathering) and Stormchaser (who dove in after him) // went to their camp to recover // returned to camp
-grew ill
-confined to camp, defended Magpiepaw and earned an argument with Fallencloud and Sycamorefrost
-was scolded by Goldenbee for being disrespectful, held back during the battle
-met Quietclaw a few times during this period (I don't remember exactly)
-was kept back during the battle // helped with medicine cat duties // grew very close to Pallidpaw, referred to her as a friend
-tended to Fallencloud's wounds with Quietclaw's help
-yelled at Owlstar for fighting, had a serious discussion about his approach to his 'debt' and kind of brushed her off
-got to know Magpiepaw better, promised to never pity him and opened up a bit to him
-has grown closer to Pallidpaw and Newtpaw, even a little to Littlepaw
-Goldenbee announced Thunder-roar's 'death' and that there would be a new deputy...he ran away and was pursued by Newtpaw // opened up to them and cried and cried and cried
-congratulated Pallidwane on becoming the full Mossclan medicine cat, with Hazelstar as leader and Pipitwing as deputy since Owlstar chose to step down to Owlstrike due to an injury from the battle with the shadows
-Owlstrike chose to take Littlepaw on as an apprentice, Moth was given to Pipitwing to be trained
-went to the Gathering (January) but didn't socialize much, just guarded Pallidwane and spoke to Stormchaser
-he and Pipitwing had a very rough start, but after helping her through a bit of emotional issue at the border...he's perhaps willing to give this a try
-went on a border patrol to the ArchClan border and noticed Swiftstream and Snowlily cross the border, handled it on his own despite his age/rank difference // Owlstrike had followed him and he spoke to her, surprised to see her but not particularly thrilled, despite that he seems to not be attempting to harm her or lash out over all that has happened

Mothwhisper grew through many events not detailed here due to lack of upkeep, for which I apologize. He was chosen as a Scout eventually, and after Owlstrike and Thunder-roar died went on a journey with Littlefang that had him growing closer to the other tom. Stood up for his Clan, met his father, had issues. Was captured in the forest by Slasher's gang with Cascade and met Amber, helped her to which she now says she owes him a debt. Had an odd connection with Slasher in regards to their reactions to the emotional upheaval around them. Returned to the Clans upon finding the new lands and guided them there. Met his father again, worked to resolve things, Sentry was hit by a car and saved by twolegs, and Mothwhisper thought perhaps he should stay with him, before following the Clans once more.

Warriorhood
He has been apart from Littlefang for a while, and learning on his own about what he wants to find out about himself, mostly how to control his emotions and sort them out rather than putting them aside. In the new lands, he helped find Mossclan's camp, and has been working at gathering prey and nesting materials. He was the one to take the sad Quietclaw to the Moss-Dusk border to see Skipperclaw, although he didn't stick around long and left them there to catch up. He stayed with Pallidwane as they rested with Goldenbee, letting her pass peacefully in her sleep into the stars. Emotional after her passing, he seems to have reverted back to his more silent, distant self, a dream-like wraith existing as a shade on this plane of life. Walking with Pipitwing to gather flowers for Goldenbee's grave, he has surprisingly opened up about his emotions regarding Thunder-roar.

-Had a brief thing with Littlefang but then said that Little deserved someone who could truly love him and Moth wasn't that someone, but he did care for him and want to be friends
-Has been working nonstop to help the Clans settle in the new lands
-Supported Pallidwane and Dawnflower's relationship
-Has bonded with Talon, seems to approve of him being with Pipitstar
-refused to take an apprentice and has avoided a lot of his Clanmates
-Found out Littlefang was hurt from a badger and brought him home, has made sure he will be tended to
-Is determined to protect his Clan against any enemies, especially those who he actually has opened his heart to
-Took Littlefang to the city when it became clear it was the only way to save him
-survived rogue war, partook in protecting nursery
-uncle to Golden and Sunny, Pallid/Dawn kits, actually shown to open up to them and be protective and loving even of Moon
-Pipitstar leaving with Talon for the Forest cut him deeply but he has kept his devotion to the Clan and vowed to serve Wrenstar and Quietclaw, both of whom he approves of
-Leads patrols and organizes hunting parties as best he can under the terrifying reign of the Black Feathers

Currently he is out with Burrbounce and has delivered Cedarfang's deceased form to ArchClan. He is shown to be more talkative and open, trying to negotiate peace and things with words alone. His temper, while still sharp, seems to have dulled a bit, perhaps due more to Palldiwane and her family than most realize.

Parents - Dapple (Mother/Sphynx/Loner/NPC/Dead) x Sentry (Father/Donskoy/Sphynx/Loner/NPC/Alive and a Kittypet): Dapple and Sentry were kittypets at one point in their younger years, who ended up loners cast away, not sure how to exactly fend for themselves. When Dapple found out she was pregnant, they sought out shelter with the Clans, and stayed there until she birthed a lone kit. However, when Sentry went out one day and never came back, Dapple grew restless, choosing to leave her kit in the care of the Clan to go seek her lifelong mate. When neither returned for weeks, the Clan decided they must be deceased and chose to raise the kit according to Clan Rules. Thus, the little bald cat became Mothkit.

/ | Smokefoot : Mothwhisper is irked by loud and passionate cats and Smokefoot is no exception. He wishes the cat would just leave him alone for eternity.

/ | Goldenkit : Mothwhisper is too hesitant with relationships to really..open up to many. He grew up disliking kits, he has since a young age, but something about seeing his sister/platonic-life-partner Pallidwane have them changed something in his heart. They are the first kits he's really gotten close to, and he loves them dearly. Although he tries to take a backseat in their lives, thinking they deserve better than a socially incompetent tom like himself, he is still there as a watchful guardian over them.

/ / | Egretbelly : One of the few cats to have spoken with Mothwhisper lately. He's a good cat, solid and intelligent, who has served the Clan well and thus has Mothwhisper's immense respect. The fact that he does not treat Moth as lesser and that they were able to discuss everything from memories to hunting techniques to politics and the power of words has Mothwhisper feeling as though perhaps this elder is someone important not just to the Clan but to him. He's trying to let his guard down around the tom, which is in itself a miracle.

Tumbleflame could feel her comforting scent wash over him, musing back on how it had become such a sanctuary for him. When she was just a kit he had become enamored with her instantly, wanting to do all he could to keep her smiling, her charms and wit winning him to her side in arguments against her brothers. She had always been one of the ones asking after being his apprentice, and in those moments he was ready to hand it over to her, had it been up to him. But he contented himself with being the apprentice, the cool 'older brother' figure, the friend who would let her pounce on him and practice her fighting moves every chance he could. Perhaps it was just because she was one of Mintstreak's kits, one that Dreampaw had helped bring into the world...but he had felt so close to that litter...and now...well, scarce few were left. It weighed his heart down until he felt her gently rub her cheek against his, drawing him back to the happier thoughts. She always seemed able to do that, to carry him through his darknesses, lighting the way back to the present, to the future even.
