Compline signifies completion, the end of the day and in the church was the prayer before one bedded downBut in High Plains City, not everyone HAS a bed or a place of their own. Here Night Angel brings an elderly, homeless woman to Reverend Deem, and the Church on the Way Homeless Shelter.
The Canonical hours were an attempt by the church to bring balance, order and meaning to life. Many heroine also lead a strongly structured life, attempting to keep order in their communities. This was my attempt to show some of the various ways they work at it.

I saved my comments for the last image. This is a great series! I love the spiritual foundation and overlay. Superheroes and heroines are our modern day mythology, and if they were real, we may see them as angelic. This is a fit and apt series. And wonderful to see them acting in small ways for ordinary folk, doing the things that we can, and should, do.
