Description I read from some artist FAQ at what size they were working with their digital painting and realised that I was under the ''norm''.

I worked with a far larger canvas this time and, yes, I must say that it greatly helped.

Here is a close up.

This is a great opportunity to get up close and see the textures you apply. I like the subtle yellows and purples in the skin.

out of curiosity what canvas size considered is normal. Ive started moving up for resolutions sake, and also jsut from being in graphic design projects where the norm is 11x17 300dpi. but I agree that when workin with details, having a 6-12pixel brush as your smallest lines is much better than trying to play with 1-3pixel brushes. >.<

I really dont know what are the standars. I usually work at 300 dpi and at least with a canvas of 8x11. For Atorès, I worked with 300 dpi, 21x18. Its hell to load with my crappy computer but, it gave me a bit more range for the details. What about you?

Havn't been on in a while...but yeah I generally use the same, 300dpi and just as a designer Ive been going 11x17, but usually 8x11 tends to be best (when using lots of layers and brushes it doesnt slow down the GPU) and it prints in good detail. Ive tried doing a piece on opencanvas for a 2 foot x 2 foot, and even as a quadcore with 4 gigs ram it'll take a while to paint and move the canvas around lol. Scaling up a bit is almost better or doing in vectors than putting up with a computer thats pooping out. >.<

Merci pour le commentaire. Atorès est très sérieuse comme Déesse : On rit pas avec le cycle de vie Elle se bat présentement contre son ennemie jurée et elle est, malheureusement, en train de perdre...
