Description
This painting is forThe winged girl is Kaos, lead character of her comics. I used an archive photo for some pose reference but the lights, the background and the wings came from my imagination.
Obviously, Kaos is Β© Fayea.

Pretty wingies! I find it interesting how the left arm disapears behind her and her left wing comes forward. It's interesting when artists used a pose that looks not quite right on the drawing, but when an observer sees it in real life, it is correct!

Very nicely done, I really like this one. Were you working digitall or? Because your work that I've seen, outside of the Atlantis comic lacks contrast of hard lines and blacks. In this one it really works out because it gives an unintentional(?) mist effect with which the water, background and fantasy aspect make natural. The leg on the right hand side seems off a bit though, like it's not connected to the hips? Maybe it's the tattoo, makes the leg seem a bit too vertical. and the hips seem to be over just a tad to the left. Other than that, very, very nice.

Thanks for the comment, you have an interesting point of view. Yes, the painting is digital, I only work in digital now (it's much quicker and much cleaner). But unless my monitor's settings are dramatically different from those of the rest of humanity, I don't really think my paintings need more contrast. I never use pure black or greys on purpose. The problem with the leg is apparent, I followed closely the anatomy of the model, but perhaps it would be better for the feathers to stay behind the hips, that's right.

The detail of the feathers feels fluffy, the shine of the blade is superb, and the sense of motion created by her hair is terrific! Fine work!
