Description This is more of a re-submission than anything. This was originally done in part for the Character Fan Art Challenge on the Shoryuken.com Forums. This is Cody, who is from Final Fight series back in the late 80s, as well as from the home versions of Street Fighter Alpha 3. I never liked what Capcom did to Cody in SFA3. Putting him in prison garments was just wrong, so I decided to at least change the stripes into orange pants. Original sketch in pencil, colored in Photoshop.

Hi there! Thanks for the comment. If you're comparing it to the more recent Final Fight series, like Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Final Fight StreetWise, than no...you're correct...it doesn't look like him at all. However, I based my Cody on the 'retro' version of him from the first Final Fight, in which he had brown hair, and not blonde. Take care!

My only crtisim is that the his back wrist is bent, I know thats seen alot in pics and poses and such but in actual martial arts having a bent wrist is a great way to break said wrist (I should know I've done it)

I love the expression and lighting, you also draw muscle tension realy well, your bodies (especially this pic) look alive. You've captured movment really well here.

It wasn't any sort of competition. It was just to see all the variations that people can get of a particular character.
