Description
After weeks of hard work, countless hours of desperation and lots of swearing I proudly present "Counterpoint".As u can imagine the most difficult part was the perspective. Took me hell of a time to adjust those damn impacts. After all I´m quite satisfied with the result. Hope u´ll agree.
My first "version" was a rather cheap looking volcano-like eruption. Glad I gave it up after a few hours and started again from scratch.

I like this but i am unsure on the texturing of the nebula although I have a feeling I could grow to like it. The thing I think looks wrong is the smoke/steam looks more like cigarette smoke. The impact craters and planets are fantastic. I think the bottom right hand corner wasn't needed as this pic would have been interesting enough without it but with it i get a sense that it is crowded

I love the nebula and the planet + the asteroid hitting it. It all looks great and the colours go together nicely. But the thing/meteor in the bottom right corner ruins it imo. I havent read the comments yet, but maybe im the only one who thinks so, but the it just doesnt look right. O well

i actually like the asteroid in the lower right my only criticism is the rings on the middle planet. as opposed to the rest of the piece the rings look really flat and plain. with soooo much detail in the rest of it i think it would really be awesome. either way though it looks great. +fav

Wow I am glad I am watching you becuase I don't want to mis this piece. Great effects and the nabula is just fantastic. THe meteors are so complex and verry good. The special effect on the meteor in front of the picture is cool but could use a bit more work.

yeah, to add the big asteroid in the lower right corner was a very spontaneous decision, i noticed the pictures looked quite empty there so i added some more stuff ... if i c more ppl ask for a version without it, i´ll add a link to an "asteroid free version"

OMG...ok im astounded by those impacts..just nutz man! I think the asteroid right upfront almost wrecks it though, i think it could be scrapped completly. the scenery in the background is also very detailed and well dont. superb work!

the pic makes me feel small and insignificant, This has made me want to get back into planets and such. I just get sick of people posting their first attempts at a planet here all the time tho. anyway breataking colours and composition. well done
