This is really neat! Super flawless, the animation is very nice a smooth when you didn’t have to make it so! <3 I would want one for sure!

Were they upset because you could produce the same excellent quality stuff without more frames/work, as in were they trying to save you time and effort? Cause if everything you put into making it so smooth was necessary, your teachers were wrong, to me at least... haha
I really appreciate old school super smooth frame animation, and wouldn't have bothered looking at it, if it hadn't of been so flawlessly smooth. It's really what makes it stand out, again to me at least :3
I hope you do, because I would be very interested, and if I couldn't afford it, I still would love seeing them <3

AH, but without deadlines on deviantart, you are free to take your time and truly perfect them! <3
Oh! I did not know that about him, I looked him up and read a little bit ^^ but that's really neat! I even recognize that piece! :3 That's funny though ^^
Yeah, I understand your teachers then for sure, but in this time is money based world, it's sad to see animation does not get recognized. I'm not the biggest fan of anime, but the racing film Redline was completely hand drawn except for maybe some accent colors. But the end result was incredible. It's also sad to see so few people value animators for how much work they put into their films... I mean, films wouldn't exist without them! Where's their credit.. but that's a huge rant I'll spare you and I'm sure you already know haha
That's neat! You animate for video games now? That's incredible ^^ I volunteer for a game making company, so I've seen how much work animators put into their projects!! It's insane! Oh, I'm so glad I watched you!! <3 Miss Williams haha

Hey I was always told, "You'll either love the job, love the pay, or love the location/environment. And you'll at best, only get 2/3 of those." which is sad, but oh reality... v.v
Well I used to be, but a lot of the newer animes are so formulated I've lost a bit of interest. Ah good good! Redline is perhaps one of my favorite movies of all time <3 It needs more love! And nobody knows about it, but everyone I show it to loves it!
Ahhh Akira, still need to watch it all the way through, but I love what bits I've seen. So recognizable! And of course Gundam hahahaha classic! And I also need to watch Paprika... it's high on the list of need to watch too... haha
*eyerolls* I'm so sorry. It estounds me how little y'all are recognized... Or the events of that Sasaugefest film? I didn't even watch it after hearing they didn't pay their animators, like excuse me???? I can't support that... But yeah...
Oh? I wish I could know about your kickstarter! Or is it realeased yet? I'd be curious :3 I hope it goes well though!
Oh haha, yeahhh I have a habit of talking to people who aren't interested in talking to me so if I'm bothering you, just let me know ^^ I can take criticism

I'm sorry I've been so busy with work and trying to get my collaborative adopts group off the ground been so busy! I'm sorry for the late response. (I hope I didn't aggravate any social anxieties omg I have such bad timing >.<;
I get that, I feel like old school in anime is like a legitimate thing, just because of how formulated the new ones are. Like normally I don't use the "back in the old days" but like. WOW. And of course people keep asking for it, so the true gems get buried. Although, One Punch Man, now that's a breath of fresh air to me xD
I heard it was good, but just, it's hard to want to watch the movie knowing it's core and heart had to fight to get paid.
Right? Which, as much as I loved my kid cartoons, it's like. Animation was meant for adults when it first came out. Like. Wow Disney changed the meaning of it's own creation entirely. Which boggles my mind. Like the first ever animations of Micky were mean spirited and "sexy." Just one of those weird things I guess... Plus when they instituted the "laws" that cartoons had to be kid-friendly. Like. What? Like I haven't played cuphead, but that throw back to the insane was really refreshing to see "Scary cartoons" again. But we're nerds I guess... haha jk
Woot links!
Awww thanks ^^ Idk, I've been told I'm generally "safe" cause I don't mind what people do as long as they don't hurt others. My best friend is super shy and says "I prey on the weak and shy people to make friends" xD sooo sorry to prey upon you! hahaha

haha nah its all good! i understand. Life happens.
YOOO! One Punch Man in my JAM. lol It reminded me of "Golden boy" a bit when i first saw it.
I feel that. It can be disheartening to want to watch stuff that treats its creators poorly.
So i have a funny, well not funny, interesting story about disney actually!
When Disney first started out animation was still in its shaking grounds. It wasn't even considered (much) of a form of entertainment in the large public eye.
Sure there were many animators but it wasn't until Snow White released that the world was like WTF, u can DO that with animation?!
So because of that it cemented what Disney's "brand" was. Light hearted, kid friendly animation films. But Disney wasn't about that (Walt that is.)
He was into having a more mature audience and wanted to showcase more adult and complicated themes, like "To Kill a Mockingbird". But by then (about 1962), Disney was already too deep in its brand to change coarse and Walt died only a couple years later, so it DEF was not gonna happen.
Ppl like to paint Disney as a "i'm here to build a child's theme park and make kid animation movies" kind of person, but he was more of a "I want to push the boundaries while keeping a childlike innocence to make sure my love for this craft never dies" kind of person. lol
Then yanno, michael eisner and jeffrey katzenberg took over then they kicked katzenberg out and man, its been a money grabbing mess. Especially for katzenberg who used to own Dreamworks. he had started the company some time after he got kicked from disney for being a money grabbing moron.
lol Ya, i mean steamboat willy and all those oldie cartoons r def a product of the times.
Cuphead is very pretty my problem with that game is that its much to frustrating to play XD lol the ui is all over the place and its hard to play because of the art. ironic.
WOO NERDS! haha
haha! Its all good. XD i mean, why not right? At least ur nice. Prey on my friend!

Yeah OPM is great xD I also think it's a comment on animes today (considering the number of direct references xD) and it's a view I agree with so it's even more fun than face value. And the art is wonderful too. Genos’ scenes blow me away.
Oh yeah, Snow White was massively influential. I study East Asian studies, and there was a brief bit on the importance of Snow White and animation in general. Because of Snow White’s incredible success, that's when Japan and China were like wait we can do this too! And thus anime was born! Haha
But during that brief bit on Disney, we watched some of his earlier stuff and yeah, it was not kid-friendly at all xD mostly mean-spirited cause he was spiting other animators with the first sound to animation film. Which is hilarious to me, but also shows Walt’s ruthless side. But I guess you have to be to produce the single greatest mega-corporation in the US haha even though he really only paved the way for it…
But yeah it was very sad to see Disney exclusively brand themselves as family fun, or well be branded by the public eye. Which isn't bad I don't think, being pro family instead of just purely for children. But it's sad we can only get badass animation films through anime. Which thinking about it, I guess is why it's so globally popular wow haha epiphany time! xD
Oh yeah, and then DreamWorks made antz to disneys a bug's life? oh yeah xD haha Although like Shrek and stuff Dreamworks can get away with slipping in more adult references I guess. Hmm…
Oh I've never played it, I just appreciate the art haha, but I can see why they'd sacrifice decent ui for the art. But yeah games that aren't user friendly don't last haha Although I think Zelda BOW executed that perfectly, without sacrificing good ui for the art.
Nerds! Look at us dissecting animation xD
Idk, I guess I just like quieter people because I'm not a quieter people xD but even though I'm not shy, I am still an introvert, which may explain why I enjoy the company of other introverts haha Though this is me assuming you’re an introvert but not knowing for sure >.<;

lol OPM is a fantastic story too. (i get a little salty my nerdy friends miss it's subtlety.)
But it comes with anything good. lol
That's actually rlly interesting. i didn't know Snow White had such a huge impact on east asia!
I study Anthropology so i don't get to really see this side of history much XD haha
I get to look at dig sites and say "damn that sure is old". XD
True true. Its not all bad. lol I still like disney films for the most part.
Yup that was indeed their MO haha! Disney did a thing? Oh well WE did a THING TOO! ah HA!
Said Dreamworks XD. Katzenberg is.. a strange character lol
WOO! NERD THINGS! lol I'm all about it.
lol well i am def a quiet introvert.
Its funny in my line of IRL friends im the most introverted, like speaking in front of others and im visibly shaking introvert lol.
Haha my friend questions why i do Ask panels as certain characters when i cant even deliver a speech XD
Guess its easier to role play than to talk about things :/
I feel that tho! like.. introvert doesn't always mean shy, or full of anxiety like me XD lol

I’m not sure about how subtle OPM is xD but I guess if you’re just watching it for the story I guess the references get missed >.<;;
Oh yes! It was seriously the beginning of anime! While China was being occupied by Japan in WWII they produced “Princess Iron Fan” (it’s hard to watch, btw. Not recommended beyond looking it up, Haha) and Japan was like, hey look at that thing they did… look at the reason(Snow White) they did that thing… WE CAN DO IT BETTER. Lol obvs they couldn’t right away, but yeah.
Oooo I always wanted to study more anthropology, but I didn’t get past 101 cause I graduated right after… orz… So that’s super awesome you get to study it! Are you studying in college, or downtime, or?
Any particular field of it? (I just recently learned there’s specializations… hah I’m a fool for not thinking they existed, but it’s still neat xP)
Yeah Disney is great, but I do agree they could delve into some darker animation themes and lure in a more mature audience. I wonder if they’re going to do so after buying Star Wars and slowly start easing into it. Cause Rogue One’s themes would shoot over the average child’s head, I don’t imagine many children liked it.
Oh yeah Katzenberg… tbh, you nailed him already with money grubbing. Maybe we can add… shameless? Haha just allllllllllll the dreamworks rip offs haha #SHAMELESS
Interesting :3 What kind of asks? If I may asks? (heh) I don’t think there’s anything wrong with role playing during asks. I mean, every character we make has bits of our real selves in it, and if that’s the crutch you need to do the things you love, it’s not a dishonest or a bad thing :3 at least in my opinion.. But I’m also a very you-do-you kind of person haha
Oh yeah, introverted literally means “mentally recharges alone”, and extroverts mentally recharge around people. Just seems to be people with social anxieties tend to be introverted. Or maybe that’s why they’re introverted. Who knows? Not me, I dropped out of psychology haha ^^
