Description The Four Winds are an adventuring group consisting of four Elven Maidens. A warrior, healer, scout and sorceress. Together they hope to overcome every foe.

An idea I got from looking over the four character classes from Fiesta, the "free" online rpg.

Looks good, although the spread of classes almost sounds like it could've come from an early Final Fantasy game as well.

Well I renamed them to my own taste. But essentially they amount to the good old standards: Fighter, Cleric, Rogue, Wizard.

Yup, pretty much.

You always have such great costumes for your models!

Thanks! Lots of digging around to find interesting bits, and puttering with textures, and trying weird combos. For me, trying to find new and interesting ways to use the old bits is the best part.

I have my own set of props I use over and over, as I can't model for a darn, and don't have the $$$ for the cool stuff out there.

Yeah, I find a lot of neat things as freebies and then play around with modifying the textures. Aiko3 still has a lot of fans, so finding neat stuff for her isn't hard. I've seen LOTS of V4 stuff around for free too.

While that's true, I've limited myself to only those freebies that have anything to do with historical subjects, specifically ancient greece. A lot of the V4 stuff out there is more modern and urban, or complete fantasy.

That's true, though the latter is where most of my own interest lies. And though I have purchased a fair amount of V4 stuff so far, I haven't installed any of it. I am just too much in love with my Aiko3 to start puttering around with the V4/A4 build yet. Even though I'm dying to try an A4 faun.

The V4/A4 series has a bit of a learning curve. I hate working on expressions, as even posing the eyes is a heck of a hassle. (Depending on the number of morphs it has, it could take three different morhps just to have the eyes look left)

I can imagine that I guess, but it sounds scary. I have an expression pack for Aiko3 for DAZ that I USUALLY start with, and then tweak if needed, which sounds far easier than that.

ManFromAbora In reply to WickedPrince [2009-07-01 14:55:03 +0000 UTC]

That's what I would do with my V3 models as I have a LOT of expressions for V3, but very few for V4, so I've been trying to teach myself how to use the umpteen million morphs that V4 uses.
