Haha yeah it's a bit like that huh!
I Got lucky, the sky and angle created the illusion that it's not a brown ugly body of water

Hahaha I've seen a few shots that make it look clean. I've also seen some used by the tourist board that were obviously shopped because it was daytime and the Yarra was blue.

Are you a fan of physics? The Law of Specular reflection works in the Yarras favour, if the angle of your camera reaches the prime point in the Reflection coefficient of the sky, you get the full reflection of the skys colour to the reflective surface, in this case the water, so basically you use the sky's blue colour to make the yarra blue depending on how you take the shot, the way I achieve this is taking the shot really low down as the higher you stand the more the transmission coefficient takes place and it looks it's true colour I'm a little rusty with my physics to be honest but that much helped me in taking photos haha
And as you said Also photoshop can do it haha

Ah, that's pretty interesting. Yeah, I am pretty interested in physics. Got 90 in it in Year 12, but that was over 4 years ago now...

I learn't mine after school so I have no idea what my score would have been, I've just read my uncle's uni course books and books on string theory haha
I learn't most of my stuff after school, I don't learn very well when it's forced on me if you know what I mean.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean - that's why I never went to uni.
