Okari (brown) stands in the middle of a windstorm of her own making while the prescence of her dead father, once an alpha male, runs behind her. Okari is the great great granddaughter of Semco but is only half wolf. Half of her lineage comes from the Japanese Akita, though I am afraid that in this old depiction she looks more like a funny looking collie.Related content

First lemme say that I am jealous that your dog anatomy is so good. Secondly I think your coloring and intricate detail is simply amazing. You did a wonderful job. Be proud.

Hehehe...glad you could tell. Okari began as a wolf/collie mix because I wanted her to have a dual heritage...one of a dog, though I didn't want just a really tame dog, and one part of her I wanted to be wolf. I chose a collie because I have always considered them smart with roguish personalities...yet, I decided to make her an akita/wolf mix in the end for some reason. I am thinking of bringing this design back as another character though....thank you fo th comment.

Wow - great composition! The poses of both wolves is noble and strong - and the leaves/ribbon streaming around really gives a sense of a moment of time - a snapshot of some sort. Very cool work!
