Description Dallas in the snow, she was over with me saying hello and hoping I would give her more treats. Then she relized Jessie was gone and went trotting after her. I hate what is happening to her, I cant do a thing about it and she trusts me still if I don't grab her halter.

Explination. Lets call him A. He is married to her owner and he is starting to make her totaly head shy and freaks out, she rears now. She is okl if I pet her head, but she scared when you grab her halter and if something flys at her face. She doesnt have manners anymore, but I am so glad she was ok with me and I rubbed her face and such. I just hope she doesnt start being scared of me as well T_T I would die if she hated me I love my fat pony who I need to groom....shes a muddy. Seriously I want to help her so much, all I can do is love her.....which I do in bundles whenever I am there and she is used to me, she comes and visits. Anyone wants to more detail just ask me...I would love to rant

stupid horse ruiners. i know exactly what you mean. when i first started working with ozzie, he had NO manners whatsoever. he stepped on me constantly, wouldn't let me get the bridle on, pulled on the reins so hard i got blisters, wouldn't listen to anything... let's just say after each of those first few lessons i was about ready to cry. but i kept working with him, he started learning. i even got him off the hackmore and into the bit, with very little struggle. he was getting to the point that he could almost be a school horse. he listened to everything, he never refused a jump. he stopped running out of the ring. he was perfect. i was actually able to work on my own skills rather than trying to train him. but then his idiot owner started riding him again, and she put him back in the hackmore (using treats to get his head down of course) so now i have to wrestle with him to get the bit in his mouth. and then my coach put someone else on him for lessons on a different day, and she never used the bit either, and was completely incompetent. ugh! and now he keeps trying to kick the other horses during lessons. i hate his owner, i really do. she has no idea what she's doing. luckily she's back to a faze where she isn't coming out, cause it's getting cold again. and the other girl is riding her own horse now instead of him. i just have to re-frikking train him now. grrrr.

Yes!! That sucks I hope Ozzie gets better, stupid people if I rode him I would ask you about what to do, if he behaved for you then you must be doing something right!! Dallas is not touched unless a few pats or to be grabbed and yanked around. Not including me, who walks around after her knee deep in snow talking to her like she actully understands me and hugs her and gives her treats, she just loved part of my donut lol. 'A' just goes out grabs her pulls her around, she is getting head shy and she was already sensitive before and know she is starting to lash out. She has always had a sensitive head hitting her and just grabbing her with no second thought about how she handles it. a peice of hay made her jump backwards cause it flew in her face. I am just glad she is still nice enough to let me close enough I just be careful. Her old owners must have given her no manners, because first time I gave her treats she did her adorable head bobbing and lip smacking she does but after she pins her ears and nips and headbutts to get more. I put a stop to that, she still in a little upset her treats are over but she wont try and bite much.

I have seen this happen before, I rode a green horse named Sparky and loved it! Then a girl purchased him, he was a sweet horse!! And he did behave, he was good and brave, just like a young gelding could. Slowley after he was purchased he started to stall pace, spook at every little flash of light or sound. He jumped like a frog. I saw him not long ago and learnt that he know tosses even fantastic riders and races to try and catch up to his friends, terrified of being alone for a short amount of time and he is only rode once a week, not even. He was good before she baught him, she doesnt even ride him!

people should not buy horses if they're not gonna ride them. if i had a horse, i'd be out there 2 or 3 times a week, even just to see them and groom them if i was too busy or couldn't ride for some reason. course, i hope ozzie's owner doesn't sell him or anything, cause he's my baby and i want to buy him once i finish university and get a job.

thank you!! she is so fuzzy and warm, but defintly needs a grooming lol

I would love to tell someone. Last year Dallas went lame, like everyone who knows her knows. She was taken out of the herd put with Candy and Captian (two ponies who where also lame) and then placed with Coal and Jessie (new horses) after the ponies where placed back in the herd. She has gotten a lot better, but since she isnt used she hasn't got many manners left. Husband A (A shall be his name) isnt the nicest to the horses, god we hate him really. Dallas always been a little jumpy, but I love her so much and I take what she throws and try and teach her. But A instead of getting a lead line to lead her around properly he grabs her halter and drags her around, he scares her to death!!! She is now very head shy, I can pet her head and kiss her, she also doesnt mind my flash, but I sappose she is used to me by now. Kita was giving her hay and a flake fell in her face and she jumped back like someone had hit her, also when Annala took my camera and the flash went off she practicly jumped out of her skin but stayed on spot because I was petting her. They don't seem to care she is growing fat and underworked, I want to learn to parelli her so bad and teach her manners. Last time I lead her on line she was ready to role and didn't seem to really care she was on lead but she behaved by the end. Now if someone grabs at her halter, she sometimes lashs out and rears and freaks. She ran away once when I tried to take her halter and lead her to see if she was lame, but she calmed down for me after awhile. I am scared that she will turn out into a scary uncontrollable horse, cause eventualy she will need to bring in money if they want to keep her and when I started riding her she needed training then and almost 2 years with no riding or exersize, or normal attention other then me and some friends. I wish I could help her more.....

Aww.Well all you can do is love her.It seems like she really loves you to .You guys have such a strong bond. The "A" situation really sucks.I can't believe he just drags her around like that what a stupid person.Atleast she's got someone who she can trust though .Maybe if her hooves get better you could try some lunge -trot , and walk work.Ahh Parelli sounds like a great idea to.Oh wow you guys have such nice snow!.sorry I hope you don't mind me asking but what stable do you go to? The horses are absolutley gorgeous.and yourwelcome

I ride (rode and plan to ride again) at Hillsview Stables, there isnt a website yet Diane hasnt had time to finnish it. We have a show every september lol, and a lot of our riders enter the Massey Fair in the summer.

Ya her hoof actully looks wonderful, you have to look closley to see where it had cracked. She still limps sometimes but she is getting better!!! I am glad about that.
