Description
A rare mutation of Cheetah is the King Cheetah. The usually small dots are bigger, flowing into each other and even turning into strips.Other rare colour variations are black, white and grey. There are also reports of red (tawny spots on golden background), cream (pale background with red spots), Maltese (pale grey with dark grey spots) and Chinchilla (white with blue-grey spots).
It would be awesome to see one of these!!
A King Cheetah lives in Wuppertal Zoo, Germany.

Ich habe neulich gelesen, Geparden sind eng mit dem Puma verwandt und stammen wie dieser aus Amerika, sind dort aber ausgestorben, nachdem sie nach Asien und Afrika gelangten.

Das ist wirklich interessant. Pumas sind auch tolle Tiere. Aber leider sehr scheu.

Ja, in den neueren Anlagen lassen sich die scheuen Katzenarten tatsΓ€chlich schwieriger beobachten und photographieren, zum Beispiel nben den Pumas auch die Luchse.
