Description One incense stick, one off-camera flash (1/2 strength at 35mm). Simple boost to Saturation / Vibrancy emphasised the subtle colour variations in the smoke. I particularly like how the blue mixes in with the brown.

I have no idea why this variation exists, if anyone can explain, please let me know.

someone, i'm sure, can explain the science. but why it exists, or why anything exists, i don't think anyone can answer. my opinion- things exist to be enjoyed. and i really enjoy your image.

Truly amazing shot ! I know that with flames the colour depends on the heat, although for smoke I'm not sure... Love this photo !
