I don't have any pictures of the back, but for the holster I took the same belt I used as a belt and sewed it so it crossed at the belt buckle.

I see. Probably easier than what I did, hahaha. I put a lot of work into my halter thing. x_x

I will say it wasn't very comfortable and I had to let it out a couple times till it fit well.
What did you do for the holster?

I took pleather, ran it through the sewing machine to make it look more like a belt, and not show the non-fake-leather part. Made four of those strips, then attached the male half of button snaps to the end of each strip. I made a square out of sheet metal and bent over the edges so it looked nicer/was safer. I punched four holes on each corner to put the female half of the button snap on, and I connected the four straps. I then put belt buckles on the top two straps, punched holes in the bottom two straps where it would fit me correctly, and I made the sheath for the knife and safety pinned it to the holster. xD It was a LOT of work, even making the pants without any reference or pattern to follow wasn't as time consuming as that was. It fits real well, is pretty flexible, and is fairly comfortable, actually, but it took a lot of effort and your idea was probably a lot simpler. ._.
A picture of my cosplay is the first thing in my gallery if you want a peek, but it doesn't show the holster so well.
