Appearance: Large, broad-shouldered dark brown tabby tom with a white underbelly and piercing ice-blue eyes

Cause of Death: Killed in Sunset when Brambleclaw drives a wooden stake (from a fox trap that was intended to kill Firestar) into his throat, causing him to bleed out; killed again in The Last Hope by Brambleclaw breaking his neck with a bite

I liked Hawkfrost. He was a good villain, even thought it sounded like he was possessed by Tigerstar when he told Brambleclaw to kill Firestar, plus him walking towards the lake with a piece of wood stabbed on his neck.
I am pretty sure Tigerstar took over his mind/body on that scene.

I'm sorry to just randomly comment but I think I know the answer.
Hawkfrost was being influenced by his father. Being the child of a rouge and Tigerstar, he wasn't much loved by RiverClan. That made him less loyal to his clan and more to his father. As such he was willing to follow his father's every order, which included wanting to kill Firestar.

He died in the final battle as a Dark Forest cat. When a dead cat is killed a second time, they just fade out of existence.

Sunset was the first of the New Prophecy that I actually read first (I couldn't get use to the switch in cats. But truly this cat is just ugh! He deserves it, I actually pitied Brambleclaw in the book (but not anymore!)
