well, the thing is i get some comments which are irrelevant sometimes, such as "this is not my favourite model you use" or "i wish her hair was red" "i wish she was wearing less make-up", it's maybe just a nuance from a suggestion to a personal belief. Turqouoise is beautiful both with or no make-up, but as a photographer i have to re-invent her, not photograph her all the time with no make-up. i think it has a lot to do with the way you phrase yourself, you said it like it was a fact, not a personal opinion.
