OK, My thoughts, opinions, and general critique of this piece.... First and foremost, GREAT JOB! I love the way you incorporated all of the elements of the movie into this elaborate scene. I know from experience that it is far from being an easy task, especially when you have so many elements that the customer wants in the tattoo and you have to make it look the best you can. The overall composition of the piece is nice, however it seems like you were trying to get every single character in it, and because of that it almost seems too busy with too much going on. This can cause lack of emphasis of the most important parts of the design. Personally I think that if you picked 3 or 4 elements (like Jack, Sally, Santa, and Oogie Boogie) and made them take up the majority of the lower part of the design (maybe the lower 2/3's or 3/4) by making each element bigger and then maybe putting the curly thing jack walks on (like on the cover) up at the top to cap off the whole piece. This would give more emphasis to specific elements (the characters), make it more noticeable from a distance and allows you to really put a lot of detail into the elements that are there, as opposed to putting in more elements that are smaller and less defined.
Just some things to think about from a different perspective... Hope I helped.

I love the nightmare before christmas, and have since I was 4 years old. I don't agree 100% on what Inkobsessed wrote.
I read that it was a full-sleve. If you was to take away some of the villains, Oogie boogie is after all THE bad ass and the 3 henchman is for me, a major part of nightmare at christmas. I love the effect both Oogie and Jack has. Makes it really pop out and really cool.
the bats, old houses, the hill, tree road, the yellow moon (and the rest) gives me nightmare and old scary movie feeling. I really like this. so well done!
The pumpkins are also eye catching too, to me this seems thoughtover where how stong colouring/shading / blackness you have used :3

I have been wanting a Nightmare piece for a long time. Half sleeve most likely. Would u be interested in designing it? This is by far one of my top favorite TNBC pieces i have ever seen. I'm not entirely sure what I want in it though. Whether i want a scene like here or a group picture of my favorite characters. Please get back to me.

Not sure where they get off critiquing this piece especially with the fact their own art is far from desirable .... As far as is being to "busy" i personally think it works perfectly . the way you started out with the oogie Boogie man at the bottom and having the road lead all the way up to the town incorporates all the elements of the movie. Such as the 3 trick or treaters, Christmas land, zero, the town, and the hill. Again my own opninion is that this piece is well thought out and represents the movie as a whole very well!
