This was taken from atop a large boulder at Sandpoint, 3 miles out from our final destination.

This was on the sixth day of a week long, 50 mile beach hike that Boy Scout Troop 610 went on in the summer of '08.

Our group of 15 guys hiked from Hoh River all the way north to Cape Alava.

The dynamics of this picture are awesome, from the mood of the sky down to the basic lines and composition of the shot.

It was a great vantage point and the sun came out just in time. That grassy ledge directly in front of me was at least a 50 foot drop to the ground.

A little bit of HDR-ish postprocessing might look pretty cool, too.

I'm actually planning on going into film, selling photography on the side as a hobby

Wow! That would be a great career.
I'm in college right now, but I don't know what for. So I don't know exactly what my career will be.

I worked on sound effects for a Swedish Star Wars fanfilm, Threads of Destiny. Threads of Destiny Teaser Trailer 3

I worked on lightsaber sound effects for a couple of scenes, nothing really huge, but it really sparked my interest. Movies have always been my favorite pastime, even more so than photography or even video games.

I know it'll be on YouTube and on the movie's website. I have no idea if there will be DVDs or anything though, because it's a non-profit fanfilm, so as to not step on the copyright toes of Lucasfilm.
