This looks wonderful; I really like how you've caught the play of light across the wall

Thank you, I like it, too
Probably because I tried the wonderful Daniel Smith Payne's Gray there for the first time.
It was a little magic moment.

You know I can't resist checking out a garden. Beautiful! I must remember to buy some  lauch/allium bulbs for mine. I like what you did with the light and shadows here also. Now I have to ask , I'm unfamiliar with watercolor technique so what were you using masking fluid? It always gives me fits with canvas so I mostly gave it up....always interested in learning new methods.

Yes, I tries masking fluid, but it was a mistake.
Someone told me it would be better to thin it with water before applying to the paper.
And you shouldn't leave the fluid too long on the paper.

I did not thin it and had to leave it for about a week on the paper, because I haven't had much time.
This was a mistake. When I tried to remove the fluid it tore open the paper.

I can't see where the fluid tore the paper so you did a good job of "masking" it.. Now I must ask..The bell hanging down, is it attached to a birdhouse or do you know?I have a thing for birdhouses lately...lol...I just thought maybe it might be attached to a pigeon roost or some such and the bell would let someone know the pigeon had returned....just a thought...seriously I'm only slightly mental...
