Void did not forget the call to see the wideness of the world. Their will to journey caught the attention of Ezra, the lionwolf. What at first seemed like genuine fondness between the two dissolved into disdain.
“You want knowledge?” Ezra roared. “Have you ever read a goddamn book?”
But Void could only be entranced by his ambition and prowess. There was no meaning to it, though, as the distance of the world would soon come between them. There were greater things to see and feel through Void’s own doing, and they transitioned from the remnants of home to nurture a greater curiosity.
