Description
This is a mockup for the new Ubuntu release Intrepid Ibex. If you like the designs please please email the Ubuntu design team to try to get a move on with moving Ubuntu into the 21st century. If you don't like some of the things on the design, please comment, i feel moving these kind of designs needs be a real community effort.NOTE: This is part 1 of 3

You know, I really like this. It just looks like Ubuntu. Which is a good thing.
The only thing I don't really like is the amount of yellow. It looks like all of the notifications and menus are actually post-it notes. :/

Hey, sweet theme. I've been wanting to use your menus in another theme. How can I make menus like yours in a prebuilt theme? Is there some file I can copy from the theme that you provide, and add it or use it to replace part of the theme that I'm using? Thanks.

I've only become a deviant to tell you how amazing this mockup is. I love dark, elegant and tidy themes and this looks just perfect! I really hope to see it in my Ubuntu (8.10) box! Well done!

Honestly?
The theme is awesome. The wallpaper is not. It's too plain and too somber. If you replaced it with something brighter and more cheerful, then it would be an amazing mockup.
One of the things you notice about the default wallpapers for other successful OSes is that they all try to give you a sense of depth. I think this is because people react better to the visual illusion that they're not actually staring at a flat screen.
Again, other than the wallpaper, it's great.

The only thing I miss is the iconset, what icon set do you use to fit right?

So far, my only issue is when windows overlap and the titlebar's transparency makes it difficult to see.

I really love this theme, but i think you should add some more to the windows. I think it looks like aero and i just don't want any transperant windows.. (I like it but i don't want the transperant top window..)

Thats awsome, I would use GNOME if that theme was available. Personally I think that is light centuries better than Vista.
Its a shame that songbird doesn't follow GTK or QT...

Actually, I don't like the panel transparency, it's seems just to be white transparent... It would be prettier with some effects, like glass effect. (The transparency is, to me, the only one thing that is better in Aero from Vista than in Leopard from Mac OS X...so please, don't copy it from Leopard...)

This is brilliant! But I don't like the "dock" type thing at the bottom. I'm not a big fan of them. Couldn't you base the bottom part off the current bar at the bottom?
