Description Everyday they shout and scold and go about their lives
heedless of the gift it is to be them
If I walked in their skin
I'd treasure every instant

Out there! Strolling by the Siene
Taste the morning out there!
Like ordinary men
who freely walk about there!
Just one day
And then I swear I'll be content
with my share
Won't resent, won't despair
old and bent, I won't care
I'll have spent one day out there!

So I already saw the lovely LOVELY UMAP/Phantom crossover pics, and I said to myself, "hmm, what's another movie set in paris about a hideous creature in love with a beautiful woman---HUNCHBACK OH SHIT"

And so this was born because frankly it fits a little TOO well XD

JE NE RETGRETTE RIEN

francouer continues to be (c) Bilbo Baggins.

YES. Hunchback of Notre Dame is my favorite Disney movie of all time, and Tom Hulce is a fantastic singer. This is a beautiful crossover, and makes me all the MORE excited to see this movie.

I lovelovelove this song so. It's the most hopeful "What I want" disney song ever, because all he wants is OUT ;_____;

thanks!!

Such a beautiful, and sadly underrated, Disney movie.

You are most welcome!

It might be the most underrated disney movie ever D: considering it came out in the middle of the renassaince, and got less attention than friggin' Pocahontas which sucks a significant amount.

I enjoy Pocahontas, but HoND is a one-of-a-kind Disney movie. It is a deliciously dark movie with no overly-cutesy animals. It's realistic (or moreso than others).

Wiltsgurl17 In reply to Trumpeteer34 [2011-09-03 22:51:56 +0000 UTC]

well as realistic as you're gonna get with Disney. XD

I actually read the book long before I ever watched the disney movie, and for a long time I actually HATED HoND because of how different it was from the book (I'm kind of odd about book to movie translations). I refused to give it another chance until I was way grown up.

I saw the movie long before I ever read the book. I knew the Disney movie would be different from the book, but I still enjoy both. But yeah, I am pretty particular about movies I've read the book to first.

I KNOW I SAW THAT yours is better but XD

Hunchback has the best of the classic disney soundtracks, if I do say so myself.

cuz you fail at life.

I KID I KID.

but you need to see at LEAST hunchback ;_____; not even joking you do. francouer is so much like Quasimodo it's not even remotely funny.

Evil-Kitty-the-Pup In reply to Wiltsgurl17 [2011-09-03 22:09:14 +0000 UTC]

XD I definitely am going to watch both. Phantom might come first, though. My mom was going through the house singing music of the night today, and it's stuck in my head. u_u;

Wiltsgurl17 In reply to Evil-Kitty-the-Pup [2011-09-03 22:12:17 +0000 UTC]

Phantom the movie is.........eeeeeeeehiffy. :I It's not BAD, but they picked the totally wrong guy to play erik. like, it may be one of the worst casting jobs, like, EVER. But it's as good as we're ever going to get, so it's worth a watch. Patrick Wilson plays Raoul and is awesome so....

BUT. seeing it live? SEX ON A STICK.

Evil-Kitty-the-Pup In reply to Wiltsgurl17 [2011-09-03 22:19:41 +0000 UTC]

I've heard there's lots of different movie versions. I guess I'll watch the best one I can find,

:I Until I can see it live. If something is good enough to be described as "sex on a stick", one cannot pass it up.

-is so not playing music of the night on my cello...well not right this second, i'd have to have 4 arms.-

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wiltsgurl17 In reply to Evil-Kitty-the-Pup [2011-09-03 22:24:13 +0000 UTC]

Well the only one based on the musical is the 2004 version which I believe they were talking about D: course the 1929 version with Lon Cheney in it isn't bad either, it's just silent.

Oh if you ever get a chance, SEE IT. It was awesome times four to see one of my favorite musicals live ;______;

XD ooh, music of the night on cello....GORGEOUS.

Evil-Kitty-the-Pup In reply to Wiltsgurl17 [2011-09-03 22:27:46 +0000 UTC]

Ohh, I see. Well, I'll see it anyway so at least I can know what it is. >_<;
-wonders what the point of a silent musical is-

D: Ohhh, I will make it my goal in LIFE to see Phantom of the Opera live!

xD I've never done it so it's annoying, because I'm figuring it out. But I'm getting there. And it is starting to sound good. And I'm having fun now! 8D

Wiltsgurl17 In reply to Evil-Kitty-the-Pup [2011-09-03 22:29:55 +0000 UTC]

XD no no no, see, it was a book written in the 1800s first, then a silent movie, THEN made into a musical *is a phantom freak*

they have sheet music online somewhere for it if you wanna not do it by ear anymore D: but if you're havin fun, disregard this XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Evil-Kitty-the-Pup In reply to Wiltsgurl17 [2011-09-03 22:36:05 +0000 UTC]

Ohh right, I forgot it was a book! Which reminds me, I have it. And haven't read it yet. What is wrong with me?!
I fail at liiiiife!

I've looked for sheet music, but can't find any (for free at least. O.<; I would buy it but I have no money to use on that)
xD But yeah, I'm still having fun.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Wiltsgurl17 In reply to Evil-Kitty-the-Pup [2011-09-03 22:42:23 +0000 UTC]

Aww!! I read it like, when I was 15 (so almost ten years ago!! ;_____; ). I remember it being significantly darker than the stage musical xD but I loved it.

yeah that's the trouble with sheet music. it ain't free. but you can figure a LOT out by ear, so XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Evil-Kitty-the-Pup In reply to Wiltsgurl17 [2011-09-03 22:49:08 +0000 UTC]

xD So it was good, then? I'll make a point to read it!

Yeah. I might get it sometime if I get the chance though. Maybe.
xD Kyeeeehh I'm having way too much fun doing this than I should probably!
My poor cello hasn't gotten this much exercise in uhhh probably since the person who last owned it played it.
