This is such a cool idea! It would make a great Mega evolution.

Reminds me vaguely of U-Mos from Metroid Prime 2.

And a actual use for the skill would be boosting the effectiveness of fire pokemon in team battles, and the same with Nocturnus and Ice pokemon. ALong with solving some certain puzzles after you catch it, ect. I seriously like these evoloutions.

You also have to solve some puzzles before you find and battle the legendary Pokemon Helios, the same goes with Nocturnus.
You have to the do archaeologist mission first and stop Team Galaxy from stealing the map, to find the item and the Pokemon. As you travel through the ancient ruins, you will come across some of Team Galaxy trainers.
Once you beat the final boss, the head archaeologist you rescue along with his team of colleges will you the mystery map to find this pokemon deep in the ruins. Once you find the pokemon, you battle it in till it faints or you capture it.
Helios carries the Sun disk as Nocturnus carries the Moon disk.
Just like real time the solstice comes once every year, so choose wisely.

I must note, however, that Deoxys isn't legendary per se. It's Ultra-Rare. Like Entei or Suicune. There's more than one of them, and they're well known, albiet rare.
However, I understand your meaning, of course. I do hope you come up with more Deoxys variants- you've got me watching.

Don't know why most people including Bulbapedia consider him a legendary pokemon. But I can see why he falls under the category of "Legendary" status.
"Legendary PokΓ©mon are a group of incredibly rare and often very powerful PokΓ©mon."
So counting that Deoxys is very rare, he is also very powerful due to his psychical changes to attack, defense and speed form. Which make him indeed a "Legendary" pokemon. Beside he has his own movie like a lot of the legendaries do.
I just wanted his evo forms, to add more into the legendary outlook for him. For the people in the past, saw him more then just a pokemon, but a creature of to be worshiped as one.

Oh my, this is just stunning! I love the colors on it, the red, yellow, orange and purple make it look very regal. I'm really digging the ancient alien connection in it's description, too. Can it change forms like Deoxys does, or is Helios stuck in one form?

No its stuck like that, but deoxys evolution chain is a lot like Eevee's
here are the links for his evo forms

If this pokemon was in the game you could only choose one of the two items (Sun or the Moon disk) given to you by an archaeologist after defeating Team Galaxy, you the
Prometheus stone too, but you have to get the "Mystery map" first by the professor of archaeology and anthropology who is also an ancient astronaut theorist.
