It's very good for everything
For APS-C camera, the focul length is about 48mm, and it would be the best standard length for shooting
Farthermore, in dark situation F1.4 is much usefull!!

Yeah. I have the nifty fifty (canon 50mm 1.8)
It's good but the quality of glass and build aren't so great.
But that's what you get for $80 so I'm not complaining.
