Our friendship ended like fire,
It was quick and fast and soon became a tire,
To keep up the act.
Eventually we had to accept the fact
That it was done.

You were the sun
To my rain,
But yet you were also the reason for all my pain.

I’m still not over all of it, or even you.
So much so that I can’t help but refresh each page like I used to do.
Atleast, the pages where I am not blocked from seeing,
Because when you left you took my entire being
With you.
Because everything up till that point that I knew
Was us.

And I’m sorry for putting up such a fuss.
I should have been smaller,
When all I wanted to be was taller.
I thought I could be
Me.

But I was wrong
And it took me so long
To see
That you and I should not be “we”.
