It's been forever since I've done a fanart! I was planning to finish this before school started, but it took a little longer than I had anticipated OTL I almost forgot how to colour with coloured pencils; it's been so long!I absolutely adore all of the BRS character designs, but Chariot is probably one of my favourites (I'm a sucker for crowns haha) so I decided to draw her. Especially since she's a little less appreciated compared to the other characters!
Still abhor the new tags system. Absolutely abhor it.
Tools: pencil, BIC black ballpoint pen, Crayola and Laurentien coloured pencils

The colour is amazing, with all the highlights and shading

The proportions are great, espeacially with the face,the face looks like a semi realistic style, and the colours XD, I just love the colours
But the form
i think it looks pretty good, but it needs to be a little stronger
other than that this is amazing

OH COLOR!! I love the different shadings/highlights and color that this picture has! its in colored pencil too I admire your work! I love that your face is proportionate!! Also her body is proportionate!!! Yay, that makes me so happy! The folds in her outfit are really looking good too! the only thing I would like to point out is her pose. Is she going into battle? sitting down? I am not sure. with all that aside, I really do love this picture! Good job, keep up the good work!!!
If you wouldn't mind these are the same picture. What could I do next time to make this better? ( Making a comic with a friend - she's making it digital ^_^)

Hey, you said you critique for critique, right? Well, here goes:
The colors are very nice and vivid, love the highlights and the texture that is given in the black. The background is also a nice contrast to the light colors used in the character. The way her foot leaves the border gives a nice 3D effect. Good job.
However, the character herself looks bored and almost lifeless. I'm not sure if she's supposed to have highlights in her eyes but you should try to have her look like she's looking at something with perhaps a more determined look? She has a sword and shield but she doesn't really look ready to fight. And one more thing: her pose is kinda awkward. Like I said, I don't know much about this character, but she looks like she is about to fall over. Which, if she was, her face should reflect that. The flow is kinda off in the picture but the execution color-wise couldn't be better. Overall, B-.
(And if I may make a suggestion, can you critique either my Hisoka or Ria picture? Thanks. :3)

What should I improve about the face (lighting, general colouration, line detail, or other)? Is there a certain part of the face that you think especially needs work (eyes/nose/lips/etc)?

Hmm... It's only subtle. I think the face is in a sense well made, however:
- Eyes. Maybe the lashes could be just a hint stronger, not much. Also the pupils are small compared to her iris. Maybe reflections? Something's off.
- Expression is contradictory: even though her mouth is wider than most people draw it I think it is natural and fitting: it also shows a lot of emotion. But that is the problem here.
If I cover her eyebrows, she looks pretty determined even though her feet are about to fall apart. However she looks -let's say tired- if I cover the mouth.
I do not know what you intended her to look like, but the problem would be fixed pretty much by editing her eyebrows:
put them above the eyes, not between and make sure they make up the right expression. Angry, sad etc...
And make sure that her mouth, if you want to make it wide -> strongly expressive, is in sync with the rest of the face.
I do not know if that confuses more or helps, as even I am in a loss of words. I'm no expert, just a youngster hobbyist.
Anyway, do NOT forget that she is stunningly well made! I LOVE the coloring along with the shadowing! I'm learning to use color pencils as well, so I know how hard it is!
Also, if you came up with her pose, it is very expressing. Keep it up and you will be the best!
