im not sure there was a concept behind it other than to create some sort of model in 3D and give it a suitable environment. I mean, I had some vision of the aesthetics i was trying to achieve as I was creating it, but its mostly improvisation, as with the majority of my stuff.

I love the use of dull blue and then exploding yellow on the futuristic icicles on top of the classical sheet music. (Wow...it's that's not a runon, I don't know what is...) The new and old go well together in this. It Owns!

Awesome piece, love the sheet music in the background, I might be going out on a limb here, but I kind of see a person in the 3d portion, like someone on their knees in some kind of emotion, either grief or fatigue, I don't know, I might be reading into it a little too much. Oh and harping back on what ~iRES said about the two splashes of yellow taking attention away, I don't think it being in front is that much of a problem, I kind of like it there. What would help it out would be if you add just a little texture to it, it's kind of flat, which contrasts a little too much with the focus of this work, the 3d bit. I'm sorry if I rambled, congrats on the DD, peace out.

i think adding texture to the flat elements is a valid solution, i think i was just getting excited and wanting to put it up, and i didnt take the time i needed to at the end to just stare and judge it ya know? oh well, no apologies for rambling, i like meaty comments

Yeah, I have a habit of wanting to put stuff up to early, so I usually end up having to repost stuff 2 or 3 times after having seen little details that will nag me to death.
