Description

The fog slipped through the houses
and she observed from the tower up high
From the middle of the eternal twilight
she looked below

She observed the flow of time
that she would never see again
She observed the decay of all things
that she would never endure again

Silently she listens to gregorian chants
Notes of angels that sing melodic words
Pinching strings
that vibrate in the aura of eternal darkness

And then she harmonizes too
those same sweet notes
so malinchonic
and her voice rised

And i recognised her
among milion others
rising to fall shortly after like the rain in my face
to inhebriate my heart

And at that moment i asked myself
if in all thise time lost away from her
her sweet chant was nothing other
than the wish to start again

La nebbia scivolava attraverso le case
e lei dall'alto della torre osservava
dal centro del crepuscolo eterno
guardava verso il basso.

Osservava lo scorrere del tempo
che mai più lei avrebbe visto
osservava il marcire delle cose
che lei più avrebbe dovuto sopportare

Silenziosa ascolti gregoriani canti
note di angeli che cantano melodiche parole
e pizzicano corte di archi
che vibrano nell'aura del buio eterno

E poi intonava anche lei
quelle stesse note così dolci
così malinconiche
e la sua voce si alzava

E io la riconobbi
fra milioni di altre
innalzarsi per poi ricadere come pioggia sul mio viso
per inebriarmi il cuore

e fu in quell'attimo che mi chiesi
se in tutto questo tempo perso lontano da lei
il suo dolce canto non fsse altro
che l'augurio per ricominciare.
