Small suggestion I just noticed: In the second to last frame, maybe carry the tip of the nose that is cut off by the frame to break through the frame before it... I'm just not sure how bad of an idea it is compositionally to cut off the nose like that. It didn't bug me when I first saw the page, though, so I don't know how serious a concern this actually is....

Hah~ (sound for sigh) Your realistic rendering with simple shades of gray is very nice. I'm glad it's very readable too. (When it comes to graphic novels kind of comic, I prefer if artists with super detailed work to use less text.*unless they really need it like in Cased Closed* And you did a great job with balancing detailed art and text.)

I used a speedball crow quill pen on 11x17" Bristol board.

I have the hardest time controlling the ink on those pens. Any pointers?

It's hard to say without visuals. I usually tap and wipe excess ink off the nub on the top of the inkwell. Then I do a couple test strokes on a separate sheet of paper just to make sure I know roughly what width I'm doing before I touch the artwork. From there it's just placing the pen at an angle, for the ink to run down, and pressure. The round part of the nub should be facing down and at a 45 degree angle. For fine lines you can flip the pen over and use the flat back (top) of the nub for really thin lines. Hope any of that helps.
