Description This is the same Squirrel from another shot I posted earlier [link]

I'm at a range of about 4 feet and this is shot with a canon 85mm prime lense.

Just after this photo was taken I proceeded to see how close the little guy would let me get. I was able to stand on a chair and actually pet him like you pet a bird. He just kept eating as if nothing had happened. I'm not sure if he was a prior pet to someone but this was either the bravest or hungriest squirrel I have ever witnessed.

It is possible that the squirrel was fed by others. I know that at campgrounds people will feed squirrels, and so they will just come right up to you. Very cool picture!

That was my 1st thought but there is no public park anywhere near my house. Unless one of the neighbors domesticated it 1st

Nice shot!

Squirrels are funky. I have a whole battalion of them living around(and on) my house.
They stay in the trees and on the roof because of the family of stray cats living in my garage

LOL my cats are all indoor full time. My dogs love to get out and chase the Squirrels but this one squirrel is not even afraid of my dogs, and my dogs are going nuts trying to eat the squirrel. He stays about 2 ft out of the dogs reach in the tree and just keeps eating lol.

We have many squirrels that eat in our back yard but there is only one that is brave enough to let me get that close. All of the other run as soon as i'm within 50ft.
