For those of you that don't know, the two really cool looking imaginext figures here are direct homages or Easter eggs if you will to the vintage 80s Adventure People action figure line.The Alpha Star beast creature is unforgettable and iconic, while the driver is very Microman-esque.
The X-ray Man is very Tron like and captures the imagination just like this entire Adventure People space line did back in the day.
You made your own stories for the characters and created adventures for them in your living room. Those were the days, that's how we rolled back then!
Back in the day when I was a kid in the 80s I adored my Alpha Interceptor, everyone liked the X-Wing, but for me there was just something special about the Alpha Interceptor. Hopefully imaginext remakes this thing, my fingers are cross man!

I didn't know about those tribute figures.
Adventure People Alpha Probe was were it was at. Probably played with that more than the Millennium Falcon. I saw one at a garage but they wanted $20 for it. A bit much, maybe. I haven't priced one in year. They had the Alpha Interceptor as well. I actually saw it twice over the summer. I coulda had two. Only so much money and space, though.

damn dude the Alpha Interceptor was something I had, played with a lot when I was a kid, wish I had one now. I hope imaginext does more of this tribute stuff because these are home runs! I hope they do a Suckerman, Evil X-ray Stretch, and Micronauts!
