Description
The T4 Turret Droid was created by the Colicoids long before the battle of Naboo. The droid was essentially a set of heavy repeating blaster rifles or blaster cannons mounted on four legs which allow the droid to move and brace its weapons when firing. T4 units were designed to act as mobile turrets for dignitaries visiting hostile worlds. After Viceroy Nute Gunray took control of the Trade Federation, he placed T4 units on various locations throughout Naboo. Even though they failed to prevent the queen's rescue, they performed well enough to continue to be used in the years that followed.
