He’s finally done. Sarn, King of the Alabaster Sea. A vagrant but an honourable man. The central character of my novel, “A Sea of Mangled Ire” (working title). For the longest time, Sarn has known that he is more than just a pirate, a philanthropist, and an all-round jolly criminal - it's a thought that has led him to rather enthusiastically take up the title of "Pirate King", violently raid the ships of Dawned'lore and the Sundered Isles, and subsequently become the regent of every bedraggled crew that sails the Alabaster Sea.

But it's not enough for Sarn, who knows his blood is thicker than the water of the sea.

Sarn was actually a side character in a book I wrote in my teens, “The Crow Prince”. Somehow he took on a life of his own, and now has a book (in the works) and world in which he resides. World-building is one of my favourite things when it comes to the creative writing process. I have a whole continent and its people, cultures and so much to share in my novel. Sarn has a whole crew you’ll get to meet, too.

The background of this piece I actually found on my PC — it’s been sitting around for years, so I’ve since lost track of the artist. I’d love to credit them but, not sure what to do 😐
