The best method to turn a villain into a hero is a bigger villain - after Snoke's sudden death I thought there's no way this will happen anymore, but that look Hux gave Kylo in the end... who knows - if Hux' ambitions are high, he surely would be mean enough. I think it would be cool.

My very favourite part of THE LAST JEDI was when "General Hugs" almost managed to take advantage of the new Supreme Leader's temporary incapacitation; it's such a delightfully villainous moment.
