can you post what computer art program you are using? I love your work!!!!!! I am an artist too, but have never used a computer, yet. : ) Do, or can you teach this technique? Do you have a YouTube station?? Thanks!! Olivia

Hi, Olivia!!! Thank you very much for your kind words!! I used a fractal-generating program called JWildfire to make this. It makes flame fractals, very similar to the program Apophysis 7X. And, like Apophysis 7X, JWildfire is totally free and has tons of free resources, like parameters, scripts, tutorials, etc. A lot of resources for Apophysis work in JWildfire, too. I have never taught this technique, but I wouldn't mind teaching it. And, I don't have a YouTube station, but there are YouTube videos for JWildfire. Here is a search page from YouTube for JWildfire: www.youtube.com/results?search…
But, it isn't too hard to teach yourself as there are a lot of tutorials out there on how to use JWildfire (and Apophysis 7X and Mandelbulb3D, which is also a free program that makes 3D fractals, and UltraFractal 5, which is not free, but there is a free trial version). There is a group on deviantart called Fractal-Resources . In their Gallery, there are all sorts of resources for the various fractal programs. Here's the link to the JWildfire resource Gallery: fractal-resources.deviantart.c… Also, there is a website for JWildfire, where you can download the program, that is full of goodies and helpful people. The link to that website is: www.andreas-maschke.com/?page_…
I have helped people in the past get started with fractals, but be warned, it is a different type of environment than typical digital editing program. But, once you get the hang of the software, making fractals is really easy and hugely fun!!!
If you have questions about something you don't quite understand, note me and I will try to explain it if I can. Please be aware, I don't understand remotely the mathematics behind fractals. I just know how to use the software to make pretty pictures.
Well, I hope this has been of some help. I'm always thrilled to meet a new person who enjoys and would like to learn how to make fractals. It's a wonderful art form!

Glad you said "yes". I have been using you work as screensaver for about a year, maybe more. This is the coolest digital art that I have ever seen.
