Description Update: I cropped the original image to get in closer to the center. I think it's an improvement. At least, I hope it is

This fractal is a tweak of UF params generously shared with me by the incomparable Bunny Clarke. I owe Bunny a great debt of thanks for sharing these. I applied a Kaleidoscope Map to my tweak of her beads and I came up with this. I hope you like it!

Made in UF 5 and postwork in Photoshop CS5.

Full view for detail.

So colorful and HAPPY!

May I make a suggestion? Your comment refers to the original image that you have cropped to make this one. I think it would be a good idea to provide a link to the original...

What do you think? It was the first thing I thought of after my eyes got adjusted to the HAPPY! LOL!

Thank you very much for the lovely comment! Unfortunately, I deleted the original post. It doesn't look a whole lot different, just more white area between the rings of beads on the outer parts of the image. I didn't think it added anything to the image, so I just zoomed in to get closer to the actual "beads".

You know, after hitting "send," I sort of figured that must be the case, otherwise you would have included the link.

It's so nice of you to reply and let me know! So thoughtful!!!

Thanks, Steve! Chinese checkers certainly comes to mind. Don't you love how different people interpret fractals? Always been one of the reasons why I like fractals so much.

That's one of the reasons that make fractals, literature
or art in general, interesting & fun. Though when it
comes to interpreting art it helps to have a vivid
imagnation or perhaps, a warped mind!

Pretty! Also reminds me of those rope (or corded) rugs my grandmother used to have.

wolfepaw In reply to Rozrr [2011-07-14 01:40:26 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much, Roz! Great params to play with, but weren't easily tweakable. Nothing I did seemed to change the basic image, so I had to play a few mapping tricks to get them to get into a design that was a bit different.
