Josh is usually a calm caring and loving dad who always tries to make time for his kids. when he was a teenager he was accepted for a job at a lab which he still works at. a handful of coworkers who were jealous of him decide to inject him with a radiation hoping he would die or at least be sick when Mason was born

instead Josh became a hulk like a monster he tries his best to keep calm at times but sometimes he has to go to a room to vent out his anger. after the rest of his kids were born he tried his best to hide that side of him from them. unfortunately not all secrets can be hidden and he ended up transforming back after a while and his kids found out the monster loads of people were after was his own dad.
