For my next set of Battlemechs, I'm going with a desert theme. This mini is the prototype of how I'm going to handle the basing. The "cracked sand" part is made from sculpey, then I used real sand, pebbles, and landscaping material to finish it up. I think it came out pretty well, and now I can't wait for my minis to come in!
