No poor starfish... He's totally ok. We live in a rainforest in Alaska and they are exposed at low tide all the time. When the tide comes back in they go about their business. No starfish were harmed in the making of this photo

Lol yes! The southern part of Alaska on the coast is a large group of islands. Its a rainforest. We get 13 feet of rain a year.

I do! Revillagigedo Island. Its almost as far south as you can get and still be in Alaska. Its truly beautiful here! I live in Ketchikan.

We've had a few small wave but for the most part not bad. There are benefits to living on an island cut off from the rest of the world!

We've had a decent outbreak at one point but over all its not been terrible here. There are benefits to being cut of from the world. The only ways to get here are boat and plane, and the cruise ships have been shut down since last year. There were strict rules about testing and quarantine was mandatory when coming from outside of AK. I'm very glad I'm here during all of this!

It was never in any danger! I love to crawl around in tide pools. These guys are exposed for a while during very low tides then they move along on their way once the water comes back in!
