Description More experimenting with watercolors. I think the colors turned out much, much better here than in my last one.
The animal itself was of one of my older practice sketches from a few months ago, and as I've been working on it I've been noticing the plain anatomical errors. The ears are too small, the nose is off center, the face too short, etc. But I am confident my next one will turn out better.

Critique and suggestions are welcomed.

This looks really good! Her eyes turned out really well, and I like the background!

My only critiques would be that it looks like the lower jaw is off- like her face is pointed in one direction and the jaw in a different direction. Maybe, also add a shadow under her chin.

Thanks! At first I wasn't sure how to do the eye color, but doing it little by little seemed to work.

Yeah, the more I worked on it, the more I noticed the nose, jaw, and eyes weren't all the way aligned...by then of course it was too late. Chalk it up to learning experience. I was considering adding a shadow under the chin, but then I also wanted the underside to remain a light creamy color. Wasn't sure which to do.

Thank you! The anatomy could be improved, in my opinion, but at least I am learning from it. I am in love with the vivid effect watercolors can have.

This looks great! Other than what you pointed out, I don't see any anatomical errors. The color contrast from background to foreground also look fantastic; it really makes the picture stand out. Nice job~

Thanks! I like the contrast too--I've been reading about complimentary colors and stuff, and thinking about them when I choose colors.

Thank you very much! I like the vivid green background, too! I was wanting something green or gold to make it seem more savannah-like.

Nice one!! I really like the eyes and the green background is a wonderful contrast! And you did a good job with the shading in the face. Is that opaque white what you used for the long hairs??

Thanks! I loved the eyes too, and I was nervous about putting in a background since it kind of bombed on the last one, but it turned out alright! Yes, for the whiskers and long hair above the eyes I used a white gel pen--but I don't really like that pen, it didn't work as well as I hoped it would.
